Camp next to Alkali Creek with great privacy, wildlife, and nature! Picnic table, fire pit, firewood and trash are provided. Roast s’mores over the fire and enjoy seeing the Milky Way bright as day. Though close enough to town to run to the gas station quick, this spot feels completely secluded in nature. (there's good cell coverage in the area too!)

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This is a quiet, private spot if you are driving through the area and need a place to stay. Mary was easy to reach and quick to respond. The site is bare bones—which is fine for us as we are self contained—but Mary did offer us firewood and a trash bag which we declined. There is a second spot closer to the river but it is doubtful a vehicle could get down there safely so it really would be only for tent camping. We did wake up to someone target shooting at 7 am and a train going by…neither of which are the fault of the host but be aware it may happen to you too.

We love how secluded it was from everything. It was quiet and there was a creek to explore and mess around in. Mary was very helpful with directions and was incredibly polite. Would absolutely stay here if we were ever in the state again!
This was the perfect spot for us to camp overnight on our cross country road trip! We were heading west, so we wanted something along our route to the east entrance of Yellowstone. We have a dog who had a great time roaming around the camp site and the gorgeous nearby creek and hills. Mary and her husband greeted us at their farm house and escorted us to the camp site even though we arrived at nearly 11pm. They were very welcoming and helpful :)
Great place to chill!
I car camped with by doggo and found Mary to be super helpful prior to and upon arrival. She made herself available for questions during our stay. I will camp there again!
Camping with a chevy
We had a great time tent camping! Our fantastic host provided potable water, picnic table, and trash can. There were two sites available to us, one upper and one lower. We chose the lower site because it was right on the river, provided privacy, and protected us (a bit) from the wind. We chose not to have a fire due to the wind. A 4x4 is suggested getting to the lower site. I agree due to ground clearance challenges. Any vehicle can access the upper site.
Best stargaze ever
This campsite was incredible. The hosts greeted us with a basket of their organic tomatoes (I can say they were delicious!) and they drove us to the spot. We decided to camp next to the creek to enjoy the nature even more. It was an incredible experience! You can neatly see all the stars and the Milky Way. I would recommend this to anybody!
Thanks for the hospitality!!!
