JMA Campground is located about 15 minutes west of Riverton, Wyoming. Outstanding views of the Wind River Mountain Range and the Owl Creek Mountain Range. We do not have trees or green grass - bring your own shade. LOL We have 30 and 50 amp RV sites (each site has water) along with primitive tent sites. Amenities at the park include WiFi, fire pits, firewood, shower and restroom facilities, picnic areas, trash services and a RV dump station available for $10. Visitors can take advantage of the various outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, biking and stargazing. Our campers enjoy our quiet solitude - we're not located along a busy noisy highway! Jim and I established our place in 1983. We produced team ropings and barrel racing jackpots for nearly 40 years - we no longer produce rodeo events (due to health). In 2017, we decided to share our property with campers - we have cherished each and every moment - we have made so many friends!  From the JMA Campground, it is 50 miles to Thermopolis (hot springs, whitewater rafting, fishing, buffalo, dinosaur museum, etc.); 60 miles to the National Military Museum in Dubois; 130 miles to the South Entrance of Grand Teton National Park; 45 miles to Lander; 70 miles to South Pass City - many other local attractions.

Hip Camp 3
Warmest Welcome in the West!
Pushing onward to this camp rather than stopping along the interstate was one of the best decisions of our trip! The approach and departure routes are phenomenal. What a wonderful way to unwind in quiet, expansive and scenic surroundings, under starry skies and a glorious morning filled with the songs of meadowlarks and red-winged blackbirds. We loved the very cute, bunkhouse and nearby camper accommodations—a big, bright, airy shower adjacent to a warm and cozy bathroom worked great for us. Paulette and Grizz’s welcome are legendary. Our obedient dog loved getting to be off-leash. Experience JMA for yourself!! Strong recommend.

We were greeted upon arrival and shown where we could park. Each site is large and easy to pull through on your way out, which is such a relief with a larger travel home. There is water and electric at each location as well as plenty of space for furbabies to run and explore.

Great stop
Awesome stop on our road trip. Jim and Paulette were super responsive and quick to answer when we booked the site in the late afternoon/evening, just about an hour before arriving. Paulette came right out on our arrival and gave us our choice of spots, letting us settle in near the very clean bathroom and shower house(excellent hot water). Wide open views made for a great sunset and sunrise.

Hip Camp 2
Hosts were very helpful especially since I was coming to the site after midnight by myself. They sent a map and very detailed instructions. They also let me park closer to the entrance by an outlet and the restrooms which was so helpful given how dark it was! The location is beautiful and plenty of room to park away from others. Perfect for a stop- didn’t get to experience much else given I was only there for about 8 hours!

Go here. It's worth it
It's a wide open place that is quite and the views are 360 degrees. The price is very reasonable and Paulette is a sweet lady. We could let the puppies run and it was a place that set the bar for a nice experience
