We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. One can tell by the attention to detail, that the host cares deeply about his guests overall experience. He greeted us warmly and gave us ideas of where to explore. Having firewood provided just made it even better. And the sunrise was spectacular!
Great first hip camp experience
It was great! Beautiful pavilion with Pergola lights which helped if you’re cooking dinner After sunset. A great little fire pit with a grate for cooking on top of, plenty of firewood provided. Very nice clean Porta potty that you could feel good about using. Nice scenery to the north with interesting rock formations and trees. The host anticipated your needs and was very accommodating about helping everything to be just right for your visit. Nice gas station with cell phone service real close by. I loved having lots of hiking trails with geocaches within driving distance easily.
Chas' property is awesome. It's close to the highway, but remote and beautiful. Such a nice area for hiking, the pavilion is beautiful and has bluetooth speakers and edison lights which made our stay much easier. We loved it and hope to come back!
Beautiful camping spot
Chas was very welcoming and the site/land was beautiful, the ammenities made it feel like a vacation and the property backs to a remote and beautiful part of Curt Gowdy state park, I highly recommend to anyone in the area or those wanting to visit Wyoming, I will definitely return.
Cozy spot. Host Chas kind and generous and there are horseshoes! Adjacent Forest Service land provided a great walk. Convenient to I80 for me, passing through on a week-long road trip from NC to ID. Great 2night stay.
Great amenities and friendly host!
We had a great stay at the campsite. It was very private and had wonderful views. So much space to explore that we will have to come back and do it again. The trash can on site was very nice, as well as firewood provided and a hand wash water jug. We spent a day at Curt Gowdy State Park and came back and played games under the gazebo - lots of fun!
We couldn't recommend this place more - exceptionally clean and beautifully set up with a lot of care. We traveled on an RV and the access from the main road was very easy. The parking spot for our RV had a beautiful gazebo with lights, large fire pit and picnic table. It has a lot of large boulders and trees around it as well. At night the stars were so big and bright!
The host Chas was always quick answering any questions. We ended up arriving much later than planned and nonetheless he met us to show around. He was a pleasure to speak to.
What’s not to like?
Chas’s place is excellent! Really probably the best place we’ve stayed on Hipcamp. I just hope it doesn’t get booked up all the time! (Kidding, it should get booked up all the time. It’s really good.)
