Perfect campsite!! The stars were amazing, the creek was so peaceful, and there was a field of flowers surrounding the site.

oh my goodness. such a perfect spot to rest and relax. it felt like we were far far away in the woods next to a bubbling stream. if we had kids they def would have loved to play and discover in it, but we enjoyed sleeping, sleeping, eating, and eating and of course gazing at the stars.

the only thing that we didn’t bank on was that the honey bees were very active this time of year. my birthday boy had a very traumatic. experience when he was young so when the sun warmed things up and they came buzzing he just hid in the tent. no big deal, but of course if i had known that a bee farm was close (they aren’t very close to warrant worry for the adv person) i would have saved my man some stress.

that being said.. we LOVEd everything about our stay for reals. you should stay here.. especially if you work in the public like us… so much quiet. so much aloneness, can we come back?!?

thanks for a great experience!

We stayed one night. We were the only campers. There was light rain but we slept well in our pop up camper! If there is a bathroom there Emily did not tell us about it. The kitties were very friendly.😁overall I thought this was a nice spot and would recommend it if you like a nice private spot.

Our family of four had a great two-night stay. The site was quiet and peaceful with a babbling brook next to the tents. Our kids had fun meeting the dogs, cats and chickens. Emily and her family were very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great weekend staying at Grateful farms! The property is gorgeous and situated right between two state parks (Governor Dodge and Devils Lake) with great hiking and swimming. The creek babbling was a lovely sound to fall asleep to and we waded in to cool off during the day. The sites are a little close to the road and it’s not too busy, but we did hear and see cars pass through.

Serene and private campsite. The brook and view of the hills were wonderful to wake up to! Site was easy to find and driving up to our campsite was very convenient. Don't be put off by the nearby road, we only heard a few cars throughout Memorial Day Weekend. There was another group of campers on the property and they were far enough that we never heard them either.
Hosts were wonderful and welcoming. Campsite was freshly mowed when we arrived. They even left us campfire wood from around the property for our first night. Emily shared the wifi info for the house and told us we were welcome to sit on their porch if we needed to get any work done.
There are some easy trails to explore on the farm and friendly pets that visit from time to time. Trash and recycling bins were easy to access too.
Our group had a great time and we would definitely camp here again!

Grateful Farms exceeded our expectations! The creekside campsite was absolutely gorgeous, complete with the zen sounds of water rippling over stones, and ample areas for our 7 year-old to explore safely. There was even an adorable swimming hole, though we didn't check it out, as temps weren't quite hot enough for a dip. We loved filling up water bottles at the artesian spring, and were amazed at how beautifully maintained the walking trails were. We're a cat-loving family, so we were thrilled to make friends with a few barn cats, and they faithfully visited us each day to say hello. :) Emily and her family obviously take great pride in their beautiful property, and it shows. Highly recommended!

What a relaxing place to be. Sleeping to the sound of the creek and waking to a beautiful place with plenty to explore and let the kids wander freely was just what was needed! The hosts (including the chickens) where delightful.

Awesome spot. Loved the clear night sky and falling asleep to the sound of the creek right next to me. Magical. Also, very quiet. Not a single car drove by us all night long.
