Staying at Decadent Dreamz was an awesome experience! I payed for the $20 add-on (well worth it) and the site was thoroughly equipped with canopies, chairs, a hammock, tables, a tent, and air mattresses! It’s so nice of Chris and his family to open their home to campers. I had access to a warm shower, space to charge devices, and a kitchen/sink area to use, and the section of the house where all of this is located is pretty closed off from their living area. The camping wasn’t as traditional due to the busy sounds of traffic and airplanes flying overhead throughout the day, but this is to be expected in Milwaukee and the sights/sounds added to the unique experience! The site was private and spacious, the hosts were very friendly and answered all questions I had as well as lended me household items to use as needed. I had such a great time and will definitely keep this place in mind for future endeavors!

Great place to stay with nice, accommodating hosts. Our site was more private than most state parks. It’s only 20 minutes from the 3rd ward. Just note there is noise from the nearby planes if you’re a light sleeper. I would definitely come back.

Enjoyed the campsite. Very sweet and well organized. Natural in the near a big city.

Our spot for the night. Didn't expect the shade and the lighting. The table and chairs was nice too. Thank you

The campsites are beautiful, clean, separted nicely from each other, and well situated for needing to be in downtown Milwaukee the next morning. We knew there’d be traffic sounds from the interstate but it was more than we’d anticipated; we’re glad we had earplugs along and then we slept well.

Chris, as always, was very accommodating, empathetic, and understanding. He had warned me a day or more before I came out that the mosquitoes had just hatched. I did not fully appreciate the magnitude of their presence.

I truly enjoy staying on Chris' property. I always have a good time no matter what. It is indeed a little bit of an oasis in the woods, and yet just on the fringes of the city. So you are able to get the things you need for your adventure from the Super-Walmart just walking distance away.

I plan on staying with Chris again soon. Perhaps later in the Fall. I am assured that I will have a memorable time of it.

My sister and I were attending Summerfest over Labor Day weekend and wanted to camp vs staying at a hotel or drive back to Chicago. I looked up camping near Milwaukee’s Summerfest and this option came up. After reading other reviews and understanding that it was not a traditional campground we booked 2 nights with the wonderful option of Chris (the host) setting up his tent for a one time fee of $20. The tent was in place and site was ready for us shortly after arriving. Although there’s not a “check in” process the moment we texted that we had arrived he came out and not only welcomed us but showed us the site. There was a large group of 12+ people in the site closest to us and we didn’t hear them much at all. We happened to stay up late with music and fire with concern that we may be bothering the neighboring group and we were told that they didn’t hear anything. Because it’s not in a National or state type park there is some noise from cars and the lovely trains that pass by. It’s really a feeling of being out in the woods and is very nice to have a form of nature so close by the city. Chris and company were amazing. He helped in any way possible from directions as well as being quick to respond if there were any requests. The bathroom is there and shared by everyone. It is maintained and we were lucky to have fellow campers that weren’t inconsiderate or sloppy. Grounds are clean and nice with good separation from one another and yet close enough to not feel like your alone in the woods. Nice walking trails. Nice distance to Walmart where you could walk o drive there. I didn’t know what to expect but the experience was refreshing, fun and overall a wonderful weekend. The last day there was a family celebrating a 4yr olds birthday and Chris brought out more games and things to do for the kids and adults alike. They seemed to have a great time and think for a little while we all celebrated his birthday together.

Chris the host had let me know in advance that mosquitos were unusually bad and although he had planned the grounds to be treated the timing was not before we arrived. We had yard spray, insect repellent and the campsite also had a few centrunella candles. Overall it was during the day that mosquitos were bothersome but not at night. Obviously there’s always bugs when Camping but these guys were there and pretty hungry. The first hour or so it was more of an issue but after that between the campfire and insect repellent it was not as bad. I appreciated the heads up so I could come prepared.

Overall this was the perfect weekend for myself and my sister. It was private and safe. It was a unique experience close to the city and yet you forget it’s there. Host is phenomenal and everything represented on the description was accurate. I will be back there and hopefully sooner than later.
