This unique place in Lyle, Washington - part of the Columbia River Gorge scenic area - is magical and utterly beautiful. Set in a magnificent meadow as far as the eye can see with soft rolling hills, edged up to a deep oak woodland/ponderosa pine forest. Tons of wildlife, stars, trails, rivers. We think it is one of the finest most precious and beautiful places on the planet

Set in a magnificent meadow as far as the eye can see with soft rolling hills, edged up to a deep oak woodland/ponderosa pine forest. Tons of wildlife, stars, trails, rivers. We think it is one of the finest most precious and beautiful places on the planet. Windsurfing and kiteboarding mecca. Mount Adams, Mount Hood, kayaking on the Klickitat and White Salmon Rivers; hikes abounding. Heart-stopping beauty and peacefulness whichever way you turn. You will feel like you have gone to your own little Shangri-La and you will not soon forget the experience. Even sleeping is special here, as you look up into the dome of the yurt and behold the stars, while twinkle lights gently illuminate the interior. Oh, we consider this an asset but we want to be sure you know there is very poor cell service in the yurt. However, you can walk a couple hundred feet into the meadow and find service.

Awe, wonder, fun!!!!
This place was a gem! We came from work so we arrived later than hoped. However it almost felt special, because when we woke up we had the most amazing views that wowed us and inspired us to want to come back soon! The location and the hospitality were beautiful. I was so happy to experience this wonderful place.
Looks like it might have been a lovely stay but unfortunately there were 10+ hornets in the yurt when we arrived and we didn’t have time t stay and find out if they would clear out. Host was nice and gracious and we are expecting a refund. Would try again?
Can’t recommend this spot enough. A cozy, well furnished yurt with wood stove at the base of an awesome meadow. A short hike up the hill shows you an amazing view of sunset. I’ve told everyone I know about it. Also, the NICEST hosts ever!
This property and the forest cupcake are a gem!
My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and returned to the city more refreshed than we’ve felt in a long time.
I look forward to returning in winter in spring!
The most amazing experience! Irene was the perfect host and provided us with the kindness and the upmost hospitality! We highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway and would love to stay there again!
The Yurt is located in a beautiful, quiet area surrounded by woods and a grassy hill. The host was very accommodating and kind, and we would very highly encourage anyone looking for a peaceful getaway to book a reservation. Even the drive up to the site is serene.
The amenities are adequate, and the composting outhouse commode is very well maintained and clean. Just like the listing mentions, the on-site well water (from a nearby pump) is cold and delicious.
Peaceful mountain top retreat
Beautiful sunsets, peace & quiet, and stargazing at its finest. This is a must for anyone looking for some tranquility and incredible views. The yurt, outhouse, and shower/changing stall were all spotless. The outhouse had no smell whatsoever and to shower we just used the garden hose over the top of the shower stall-cold but it did the job! We had an incredible stay and would recommend this little slice of heaven to anyone who enjoys classy off the grid camping!
