If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
David was lovely and greeted us, walking us to the camp site. The showers and kitchen were perfect. I agree with other reviewers that the area is certainly not geared towards tent campers and more towards off road folks. This fact is nowhere to be found in the description.
That being said, the camp ground was super quiet at night and everyone was packed up in their RVs so we didn’t have the nuisance of extra noises. The campsite was pretty tiny and only barely fit our tent. The area is quite dusty and the forest is young with new growth, so it doesn’t have the magic of the forests covering much of Washington. The area seems to have been clear cut recently so what you have around just isn’t that exciting for hikers.
The area will suffice if you need a quiet, safe place to set up camp.
Tent site listing is not accurate!
The listing for this site makes it sound like a quiet corner campsite in the woods of a private owner. It's a cramped campground with dozens of RVs. The site I reserved said it could accommodate 6 people in tents. We had 3 people in two small tents and there's no way we would fit. The site is basically the parking spot with a picnic table. I let them know on the first day of a 3 day reservation that I would not be staying and would like to cancel. I asked for a refund since the site listing was so deceptive. I did not get a reply at all. I know I was not in the refund window, but even a partial refund would seem appropriate. I've never cancelled a reservation before. To be fair, I was greeted by a very kind woman upon entry and the site provided some firewood although there was a burn ban. Unfortunately the description is not at all what the reality is. If you're a tent camper this is NOT the place you want to stay. I'm out over $100 and didn't stay there more than 15 minutes.
Will definitely come again
Such a wonderful place. We camped for 2 nights. The tent camping lot is little small for setting up 2 tents but we managed. Best were their kitchen area, with stove, grill, sink, water, dishes, cleaning supplier, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, electric points and utensils!
The sitting area had propane heaters so we could enjoy marshmallows during the burn ban. The flush toilets were clean and hot shower awesome. The host family was very friendly and helpful.
My girlfriend and I had a very wonderful stay at wooded wonders resort. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the founders of the resort who was very pleasant in the manner of customer service and getting us settled in. After getting settled in we strolled down to their beautiful gazebo/full kitchen and spoke to the two sisters of the woman who checked us in. They gave us a brief history of resort and we continued to chit chat. They were all very kind and welcoming. The resort itself is pretty phenomenal (especially for first time campers) I have never been camping and had the amenities that this resort offers. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
Less tent and more rv geared
This Camp is geared much more towards RVs than tent campers. On the listing and the resort's website I did not see references to four wheeling, motor bike and gun range activities but those were clearly present and during stay. The camp is listed as dog friendly but I would takes serious consideration if your dog is afraid at all of loud gunshots.
The bathrooms and community kitchen are fantastic.
