*COVID-19 UPDATE* - in this strange time we are prioritizing safety by reducing our available sites to the one further away from the house. *COVID-19 UPDATE* - in this strange time we are prioritizing safety by reducing our available sites to the one further away from the house. We will be hosting only one group at a time and allowing enough time in between each visit to allow for proper cleaning and for any viral load potentially present to die down so you can feel confident of your safety during your stay. We are trying to set up any accommodations or requests (like firewood or BBQ utensils) ahead of arrival to reduce contact. Our bathroom is still well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, as well as a foot pump hand sink and soap. Come and unwind with us.

50% DISCOUNT ON THE WEEKNIGHTS....Skip the crowded campgrounds and stay with us instead! We are a family of 3 (Ben, Lauren, and Odie) working on building a permaculture farm.  We have nice sunsets above the treeline and on clear nights, the stargazing is "out of this world" (get it?)  We now have a composting toilet and fire pit up and running for your "business" and pleasure (see what I did there?)

There is a discreet, steep and narrow footpath down to the shallow river with small waterfall where you can splash around, try to catch a fish and view wildlife. We have signs to direct you to the path down.

Our 20 acres is located outside the city limits of Hoquiam, WA (about 8 curvy but accessible mountain miles/20 minutes from town.)  We are about 30 minutes from the ocean beaches (Ocean Shores to the North and Westport to the South to name a couple.) 30 minutes to the Olympic National Forest.

There is no cell service here on the farm. (Maybe a whiff of Verizon if the wind is blowing just right and Mercury is in retrograde.) We do offer Free Wifi up by campsite 1 and the bathroom/ firepit area for Wifi calling but the coverage doesn't reach to the second campsite.

CHILD POLICY: We like to see children connecting with nature at an early age and therefore offer camping for children 5 and under at no additional charge. If you have Children 5 and under please let us know in a message but dont include them in the head count when booking.

Good location but a bit sad we couldn’t access the river with it being block off by the owner which is understandable to let the young trees breathe. But we wish we knew that beforehand because that was a big selling point for us. Also ran into a coyote issue where they keep trying at night hang around are tent. We made sure to not to have food but it didn’t feel the safest.

Campsite was beautiful! We stayed @ site #2, which was more private, but they were both gorgeous. Unfortunately no fire because of the burn ban, but when possible, the fire pit would have been great! We made good use of the “kitchen area” (fire, picnic table, chairs, gas grill). The compost toilet was better than campground bathrooms for sure. The stream is a haul, but we enjoyed the sound of the water from our campsite. Location was pretty far (2+ hours) from the Hoh, but only about 45-1hr from Quinault trails. We enjoyed the privacy & are pretty self sufficient, so it was great for us!

Thank you for your review Carla. We are so glad you enjoyed our amenities , that river sure is a haul HA! We do have plans in the upcoming season to come up with an easier way to access the river and other side of our property. Hope we can ave y'all back to see us grow!

We liked our time at this site! The hosts had everything set up, the sites were cleaned and cleared and they were very hands off and accommodating with our group. You can see the work they have put into the sites and it is clear that they are working to make an even better experience for their guests. We really liked the signage on the native flora and the compost toilet outhouse worked great (and the signage inside was a hilarious treat).

We chose the site because it was available and closest to a last minute family outing at Ocean Shores. The drive was about 30-40min, and as the listing says, you can get service the second you walk up to mile post 8 (like on the dot!!). The stream was not accessible. We followed signage to what looked like a deer trail down a very steep and well overgrown trail. That was a significant disappointment and we would not recommend booking here if the stream was a major draw.

The sites are pretty level and we fit a four person and a 10 person tent in campsite 1, with a small folding table and 6 chairs- it was a tight fit. That being said, if we utilized the campfire pit and picnic table area more, we would have had a bit more space. Campsite two would fit a 6 person tent, but little else.

The outhouse is inside of campsite one; I would recommend only staying here with family or close friends but only if lack of privacy with taking care of business away from other folks is an issue!

Though you are behind a personal residence, it feels really secluded and we had a couple of evening visits from large deer and were treated to barred owls calling to each other. We saw so many beautiful stars- there is little to no light pollution at this site!

Of note- The flags aren’t orange/yellow anymore- they are bleached white by the sun. We all drove by them on the first pass :)

We would stay here again because it was so low hassle and secluded and the hosts give so much privacy. We have a better idea of what gear the sites can support now.

I hope the stream becomes accessible- it would be such a fun day to picnic and explore down there.

We hope to stay here again soon and explore the area more!

The overgrown stream accessHard to see, but to the left is a sign that says “Stream ⬆️“ in same black lettering as parking sign. Stream access entrance is before the white road marker and after where the foliage turns darker greenCampsite 1 with 10 person and 4 person tent, 6 chairs, 1 table, 1 yellow labThe first flag in the instructions- it’s white from sun/weather and we all missed it, but it’s clear that it’s the right spot

The site was very cozy and secluded which made for a very enjoyable trip. We spent the day at the stream on the property where the water was crystal clear and extremely refreshing. Don’t be afraid of the hike down to the stream because it is more than worth it. Overall we had a great time and thank Ben, Laura and their very cute son for their hospitality.

Ben and Lauren provided a great setup for camping: the sites were separated from the house by tall foliage that made it feel private and remote. They were quick to address a couple minor issues we had upon arrival and we really enjoyed our stay!
We would recommend their sites for a group looking for a "base" for other adventures in the area. There's not much open space for groups to hang out, but the space is very well set up for families or groups of friends camping together.

A peaceful stay beneath magestic spruce cedar and fir trees. We fell asleep to the sound of the creek below the cliffside with birds singing. Drinking water available and a nicely set up composting toilet system. Also a seating area with a nice picnic table and adirondack chairs around a firepit including an available bbq. Thank you for providing a nice space to enjoy the natural beauty.

It was nice and quiet mostly. The noise that was a little bothersome was coming from surrounding locations out of the camp hosts control. Could definitely see staying here again. Even found a 4 leaf clover the day we left
