We had a wonderful time camping at this location. Our hosts, Angie and Ray were great. We appreciated the communication prior to our trip. Upon arrival, Angie & Ray greeted us and gave us a rundown on their property. They made it clear that they would be available as little, or as much we needed.

We camped with our 28’ RV trailer and found their property to be very easy to park and set up our camp.

The views were great. The property was fun to walk around on. There were some more beautiful views up higher on their property too. They have some great tent camping sites up “top”.

We found this to be a great base camp. We enjoyed some hiking nearby as well as had some fun in both Kettle Falls and Colville.

We also loved the opportunity to see some critters. While having dinner at camp the first night, we counted over 30 wild turkeys walk right past us. During the weekend we saw deer, and even a cow and calf moose while driving down their driveway.

While all of that was fun, what made it most enjoyable, was they way that Angie and Ray accommodated us. They gave us space and engaged with us when we sought them out.

We’d highly recommend this property if your looking to camp in this area. We’re already scheming about our next trip up to Rangie’s Hilltop.

An amazing place...peaceful...quiet...views...deer came close to my rv...this was a much needed break for me after dealing with rv parks for 5 weeks. Ray and Angie are wonderful people...their dog, Leroy, was a perfect gentleman...I will definitely be back.

Angie and Ray were great. Angie was super communicative while I was booking it, and Ray led me to the site to get set up for the night. He also graciously shared some awesome Alone stories.

The road to their place is beautiful and well maintained. From their place it is a short, rough drive to the camping spots (a couple min). I was able to make it to the Sophie's Hideaway camping spot in my 2WD Prius, only had to navigate one or two high clearance spots. But I think they'll shuttle you to the spot if you didn't want to drive it.

The spot was remote (didn't see or hear anyone during my stay), and perfect for me. A nice little view of the valley and some land around to walk/explore as night fell. I highly recommend walking to the top of the hill at sunset.

Composting toilet at the site was clean, and the shower amenity looked awesome and well-maintained (though I didn't use it).

This was our first trip through hipcamp. Angie and her husband were very welcoming and friendly! If it wasn’t for the corona we would’ve loved to sit down and talk to them! Angie’s husband hinted at us that he’s made an appearance in a Netflix series, which was so freaking cool. As soon as we went back home we binge watched it. Ha, if you want to know more you should definitely go on and book with them. We felt safe and the place was absolutely breathtaking. Their pigs were also very cute! Take note that when you arrive, google only takes you so far. Make sure to double check your directions and ask before you get there and lose signal.
We will definitely be coming back!

We ended up camping through the storm of the year and I couldn’t of imagined a more beautiful place to do so. Awesome experience.

It was phenomenal! The view was incredible (if you're into photography this is a dream location) and Ray was an amazing host (I look forward to meeting you next time Angie). My kids had a great time exploring and enjoyed themselves immensely. We found a few offroad trails nearby, as well as some other areas to explore when the kids got squirrely. Overall it was an absolutely lovely experience and we will definitely be visiting again.

Our new spot! We loved it!! We were there during a huge storm and because of how well Ray & Angie had the site we were secure, dry and safe! Love the potty buckets too!! :) We went with our boys age 2 & 10 and so much to explore. We've stayed at a lot of hipcamps and we love everything about this one most!! Secluded enough, yet close to town if need be. Ray was great, Angie was away but she still had excellent communication with us. Visit them for sure!! Ask Ray about his Alone adventures :)
