So perfectly named is Nirvana Garden. We so enjoyed a dreamy retreat at this very special location, all aglow with fall colors and mists on the lake. We hiked, went kayaking, made some great meals and enjoyed many card games and songwriting sessions by the fire. (The lack of wifi and the intermittent cell service was a true blessing) We can't wait to return to experience Nirvana in other seasons! Thank you to Matt for creating such a haven, and for stewarding the delicate and recovering ecosystem. Lokah samastah sukinho bhavantu (May all beings everywhere be happy and free)

I really cannot say that enough good about this magical place! I was excited for the getaway but I wasn’t expecting even a fraction of how amazing it actually was. Matt has put so much love and thought into this place and it’s obvious. As soon as you arrive you feel peace all around you. We were able to spend some wonderful days hiking, dock lounging, observing the wildlife, reading, cooking, playing games and just slowing down. It was perfect and I’m looking forward to returning!

Nirvana Garden is that rare gem -- a rustic and serene property both off the grid and off the beaten track that offers the dual pleasures of deep contact with nature combined with just the right amount (and right kind) of creature comforts. It is not easy to get to, but the effort is more than worth it. The setting is beautiful, the wildlife is abundant, and the views are spectacular (I'd forgotten how stunning the unpolluted, unobscured night sky is). I recommend a minimum 3-day stay just to give yourself the opportunity to truly unplug, unwind, decompress, and really experience the tranquility of this sacred space. It is one of a kind.

Beautiful place. A clean, very comfortable, nicely decorated cabin in a truly special, secluded spot. Our stay here was the perfect place to disconnect from the world for a little bit.
Thank you Mathew and we look forward to visiting with you when we come again.

Staying at Matt’s place was incredible! We ended up having the lake to ourselves all weekend. Our dogs loved playing in his well maintained yard and the lake. It was HOT while we were there, but a dip in the lake during peak heat was enough to keep us cool. We
hiked on the property every morning. A doe and fawn came through the property almost every day. It was a very relaxing stay. We would absolutely book again.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Nirvana solar house. Everything - the lake, the isolation, the beautiful house, the scenery, amimal and bird-watching - I cannot say enough how gorgeous and relaxing it was. Matt goes so far to make sure everything is perfect. He even took care of a downed tree blocking the road from long distance and did it very quickly. He is super-friendly. We will definitely re-visit on a regular basis.
