This property has been in our family for over 100 years and so we honor our great grandparents by naming the campground after them. Enjoy a quiet country escape with an eagles nest on our creekfront property. Stars shine bright in our quiet backyard and coyotes will howl you to sleep, they feel so close! There are plans to expand with landscaping and a permanent primitive kitchen but I have campers ready to go so we're opening for Summer 2022. Our community kitchen has a Fuego gas grill (great for pizza), two propane burners, a briquet barbeque as well as a sink with a 5-gallon container of water for washing and rinsing. You will provide your own briquettes. Papa Curt's military locker will be stocked with basic camp kitchen supplies, tools, and games so if you forget something you'll likely find it there! I love camping but even more, I love good coffee while camping. The Coffee Spot will be equipped with an electric kettle and a Keurig, as well as a French press and real coffee cups. Bring your favorite coffee or teas and take in the morning at the Coffee Spot with a great view of the eagles' nest. Don't forget your binoculars. Privacy screens will separate the campground from the owner's property but it is not entirely enclosed. The owner has a senior dog named Gidget who will welcome you with a bursting bark and a wagging tail. She will likely show you to your site and return to the house. Providing potable water (heavy with iron), small primitive community kitchen with a fire pit, bbq, and prep table. Firewood and apple chips for smoking are available for purchase from the host. We have 1,000 feet of quiet creekfront with shade and a bald eagle's nest! The property owner has a people-friendly dog but your pets are not welcome. At Fonzo & Marinda's we want you to catch your breath, be inspired, and rest in the quiet of Shoestring Valley. No Pets. No Loud Parties. Cannabis Friendly.

First time experience with this App

My family and I absolutely adored Shannon's campsite. It was a super private and large campsite, with a great kitchen set up and a private creek. This location gave us the opportunity to truly disconnect and enjoy a day at a near by lake. We will definitely be back. 😎💯

Perfect campground!

Such a relaxing getaway! There were fire pits set up and homemade fire starter as well, went with a small group of friends and had an amazing weekend. The dog was super friendly and came out to visit a few times which everyone loved. Hope to return again!

Great campsite! If you want to just go and camp this is the place for you. The site comes with tent, firewood, fire pit, kindling, stove, games. Literally anything you need. Except an air mattress and sleeping bag/pillows. Shannon thought of everything else. Campsite also has onsite “clean” porta potty, awesome coffee bar, and a dog and cat. Shannon the host is just amazing. She has made camping as easy as possible and she is super friendly. The views are amazing with a creek running the property. There is an eagle’s nest and other wildlife that make the campsite truly remarkable.

Definition of peaceful!

My husband and I went to this campsite at the last minute and in spite of that, Shannon had everything prepared for us when we got there. The coffee spot/welcome center is equipped with all the information you will need to get your trip started. This campground has almost everything you need to have an amazing time, including a small kitchen area for grilling. There is a firepit near the little river and it is beautiful and relaxing. There is a view of an eagle's nest with two little baby eaglets! I would recommend this site for anyone who is looking for a great break from the fast-paced day to day. It is just so peaceful there. Would love to return.
