Really friendly host and great campsite! >5 min walk to a gorgeous view of the river.

We came in November and had the whole campsite to ourselves. Kathy was very kind and accommodating, she even gave us a propane stove so we could still have a camp fire when it started raining!

It was a pleasant stay, I was worried about finding it because my TomTom GPS is so old and doesn't have the address.
The Cell phone signal in the area is very spotty. The directions provide by the hosts were just fine.
It was a rainy weekend, so just two sites in use, but right across from each other. The hosts were very nice and had lots of reasonably priced and small sized firewood available. The hosts were also very accommodating to my questions and desire to have a late check-out.
The camp map on Hipcamp is more of a guide, don't rely on it for an exact layout.

Loved it!! This is one of our favorite places.. there is something so serene about falling asleep listening to the river or sitting by the fire and watching leaves fall in the forest. We stay here and fish nearby but love walking in the woods here and sitting by the river.

Cascade River Retreat was the perfect camp spot for our quick anniversary camping trip. We arrived just after dark and had no problem finding our way to our spot. With fire pits at each campsite and camp wood available for sale ($5), we ended up bringing our own, but nonetheless a nice touch. Each camp site was numbered and also included a picnic table in addition to a Porto Potty. Due to good weather there were other campers, but had no issues what so ever. If you are looking to book on Hipcamp, look no further. We really appreciated the “feel” of a true campsite at Cascade River Retreat. The location is conveniently located minutes from Marblemount and about 30/35 minutes to Diablo Lake. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Super awesome campsite in the North Cascades Area. We’ll definitely return even if there are spots in the public parks. The river is a short walk nearby and it’s beautiful! There is a table, fire pit at each spot and it’s easy to buy firewood from the kiosk right in the middle of camp. There is one we’ll maintained porta potty. The owners are SO NICE!!

All worked out well for us - towing a 19 foot camper. Lots of trees around if you are running on solar but we had lithium battery and were good to go for several days. Host was accommodating and helpful; there were dogs on property and they mostly stayed out of camp area. Just a note that you do drive through the host’s property to get to camp so defn follow speed limit signs that recommend 5 mph. We found cell connection at Marblemount if you forget to check directions!

I absolutely loved this place! All the sites are pretty with trees all around, and the river is a few minutes walk. You can hear it from camp which is lovely. There’s a fire pit, picnic table, and a clean porta potty. There’s a jug of water to wash your hands with and hand sanitizer. I hiked in the north cascades national park, which is just a little over and hour from camp. Make sure you follow the instructions provided by the host since google maps will only get you close. I will definitely be back here!

This was our 2nd time staying at Cascade River Retreat and we will be back. We come to relax and did not disappoint. We arrived later than we hoped and still we were greated and welcomed. It was pouring down rain and they wanted to be sure we had fire supplies and let us know they have some if needed. It was amazing falling asleep to the sounds of the rain and the river. We got some sunny breaks and were able to take the short walk on the trail to the river. Soooo peaceful. Tranquil. Just being surrounded by nature and taking in the views. The porta potty is clean and well maintained. Spots are set up nice and having only 8 spots is perfect for staying distanced. We will be back. Thank you!
