Description

Located just 7 short miles south of the West Virginia border lies the Walnut Flats campground in Bland County. Small and pleasant, this campground sits at an altitude of 2,400 feet in the densely forested dream lands of Appalachia. Hanging on the crunchier side of well done, the campsites are clustered together around a small clearing perfect for your tent. Head further up the mountain for some amazing trout fishing in the well-stoked Dismal Creek. Flowing on with cool mountain waters eventually collecting in a small pool, the area is also quite popular for afternoon dips.
