The pictures don’t do it’s justice of how beautiful the view is. This is a place you HAVE to see for yourself. Perfect area where you are secluded from everything but also 15-20 minute drive to any store in case you forgot to pack something. I highly recommend this site. Mike is a very nice and accommodating guy who makes you feel safe and welcome on his land. Highly recommend.
Great spot. Quiet, dispersed, amazing view. Nice touch with the chairs and side tables by the fire. Enjoyable experience all around. My first experience with hipcamp. Brought three kids. Felt totally safe.
We had a great trip to the Green Mountain Primitive site at Timbertrail farm! The site was clean and gorgeous with a great view. There was even a pit toilet and a shower! We also had a great time using the pizza oven and swimming in the lake at the Lake Shaftsbury State Park right across the street from the farm. Would recommend and can't wait to come back!
Beautiful place great hospitality
We had a wonderful time at this site! First of all, it's a gorgeous spot, with a view you aren't likely to find in a campground. It's spacious and secluded. The site is well-thought-out, from the outdoor shower to the subtly placed solar lanterns guiding the way to the pit toilet. Mike is a terrific host, too! He's fun to chat with and he even gave us some tortillas, salsa, and shredded cheese (straight off his own dinner table, I think) to round out our meal when we got our wires crossed about the pizza situation and didn't get there in time to fire up the oven. One thing to note is that if you need to communicate with Mike before your stay, texting is better for him than email. This is a special place with nice people. We will definitely come again and plan a longer stay!
This site was awesome! Mike is communicative and kind. We arrived in the hurricane-induced rain, but we have tarp skills and the site had just enough tree branches to support our needs. Once the rain was over we could easily move our tent from under the tree-tarp canopy and enjoy the gorgeous view! Barred owls call and coyotes howl throughout the night. Take a morning outdoor shower with the roosters crow, and enjoy an excellent view from the primitive commode complete with a well lit trail (on a moonlit night). Upon request, Mike made us pizza with the works, most ingredients from his garden, in his back yard pizza oven. It was fabulous! Swimming and paddle boats at the state park are close by too! We will be staying again!
