Once pastures of the Burnham Farm. The majority of field are now new growth white pine, hemlock, Maple and birch forest. Adjacent to the town forest with loads of hiking, trail running, mountain biking, snow shoeing and access to VAST snowmobile trials. Short drive (10 to 45 min) to surrounding ski mountains and Nordic ski areas (Killington, Pico, Okemo, Quechee Ski Hill, Sunapee). Connecticut River, Hartford Reservoir and Dewey's Pond, Rope Swing all minutes away. (Canoe and tandem kayak are available for rental but you must be able to transport) There are tons of hiking and biking trails, swimming holes nearby. Several breweries and distilleries are also close.  Nestled against a hillside across an Ephemeral Stream. You are minutes from the parking area on a dead-end road but you will feel miles from anything. It is a great spot to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the world, recharge yourself and reconnect with nature. Take a nap in the hammock or cozy up to the outdoor fireplace.  There are tons of hiking and biking trails, swimming holes nearby. Several breweries and distilleries are also close.  There is a full-size mattress in the loft but you must bring your own bedding, etc.  There is another campsite nearby.  It is out of sight but please be considerate about noise for others.  There is electricity in the cabin but no running water.  Please bring your own firewood the wood stove is small and ideal wood length is 12".  Pack out any trash and leave the property like you find it.  A small sled is helpful for transporting gear and firewood from the parking area in the winter which is about 150 yards away.

Hemlock Perch Camp
Not worth it, looks worse than pics
I wanted to like this place, it was a nice and convenient setting but a few things made my stay really uncomfortable. I don't like leaving reviews, I tried to take this up privately with HC, but they told me to review.... - the incinerator toilet was full when I got there. The outhouse was full of a white mold. No TP left. Dirty and smelly. - Half the platform is rotted. It was then covered by OSB/particle board that is also rotting. This is clearly someone who doesn't care to properly maintain their spot, OSB/particle board is not weather proof, it's making the whole platform falling apart factor way worse. - The host had a boat parked in the driveway so we couldn't find the spot. We had to drive up onto the grass and around to get there. It seemed like they didn't even know we were coming. Signage is a joke, its tiny laser etched wood that is completely weathered away. Overall, this spot is not what is pictured, stay at your own risk. Host doesn't really care for the property, or the safety of guests who stay there. For the same price I would have much rather stayed at a campground or state park. Definitely remembering this experience if I book a HC spot again. I stayed at some great HC's, though this isn't my first questionable experience, but by far my worst.

Sugarwood Cabin
Comfy, cozy, and quiet.
Comfortable and cozy. Located down a big hill from the road, I thoroughly enjoyed the Sugarwood Cabin. The cabin has electricity and a toilet. It’s got a mattress in a loft. Very comfortable, and offered ample shelter from torrential rain. The path through the woods to the cabin can be a bit buggy, but windows inside the cabin are screened. I would recommend to anyone looking for cozy, rustic accommodations.

Hemlock Perch Camp
This site is everything it claims to be. You’re sleeping on a platform above a stream, just down the hill from your car. I didn’t have an issue with road noise, even in the fall when the leaves were down. With that said, camping on the platform was cold as it got rainy and windy in October, so be prepared for the weather. I think I’d come back in the summer or early fall. It was really nice to have a toilet to use, but make sure you read up on the instructions. Also, bring extra toilet paper as an animal had destroyed what was in there. Otherwise, we had no issues! The driveway to get from the road to the parking area was easily navigated with 4 wheel drive but I think it might have been hard with my old FWD car, just FYI.
