Enjoy solitude and unobstructed views from the knoll at Retro Star Ranch.  The knoll has two dirt levels, each capable of hosting multiple cars and trailers.

Retro Star Ranch is safe and secluded.  We have 25 acres of land at the end of a private road in a secret hidden valley not far from SLC, Ogden and Eden Utah.  This land is pristine and connected to over 5000 acres of undeveloped open space.   The property is part of a recreation property subdivision.  You might see some fellow campers on quads, occasionally you might hear gunfire,  but you're more likely to see deer, fox, grouse, birds of prey, moose and possibly elk.  Not far from Causey Reservoir and the South Fork of the Ogden River both of which have great water for floating and fishing.  We have a metal fire ring (please check for fire possible fireban) on site and a 30 ft geo dome which is great for hanging hammocks in.   We don't have a lot of trees so bring your hats and shades.  Mornings and late afternoons are beautiful.  One of the few places where in the area where you can really hear the silence.

You could easily get here in a sedan when dry but not recommended for sports or low clearance vehicles. If you have 4x4 that is better, especially if you want to venture to our last campsite or pull a trailer here. We've pulled a 30' foot trailer but the road is skinny in places and the turns are tight, bumpy from cobbles and ruts and often have puddles. There is about 2 miles of that climbs over a ridge. If you're adventurous and a confident driver on dirt roads you will have no problem. If it's you're first time pulling a trailer or if you have a low clearance then this might not be the spot for you.

Beautiful space, close to Causey Reservoir and feels very remote. It was hard to find from the instructions. When driving up Evergreen Park - turn left on the dirt road at the wooden fence. This is around 2.2 miles from Highway 39. If you go 2.5 miles you'll go too far and miss it. Took us 4-5 tries in the dark to figure it out.

Lovely spot. Enjoyed seeing wild turkeys, deer, sage grouse. Night sky was great. Visited Causey reservoir - love that it’s motor free! Bryan was a great host. Checked on us once and got us settled. Helped us place three campers snugly on the knoll. We’ll be back.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place. Got there easily with our trailer and Bryan checked to make sure we made it. Causey is really close. I would definitely recommend this place!

This spot was beautiful. Secluded with a great view. Our VW Golf Alltrack (AWD wagon) made it to the site without issue ( and back out in the morning despite it snowing).

I would absolutely stay here again

We booked this last minute and couldn’t have more pleased with how wonderfully remote and stunningly beautiful this site was. We met Bryan as he was coming up the road and he was welcoming and helpful. You will not regret your stay here!

Totally private! Felt away from the world and was completely unplugged. I didn’t have a table, and would recommend. Cooking in the camp stove was a little tricky. The dogs loved roaming around.
Lots of deer sightings!

The campsite was great! We had a beautiful view and plenty of space. However, it wasn't as private as we thought it would be. We could hear the other campsites on the ranch very clearly.
