Zen Paradise
in Zen Paradise, ConnecticutPetit Jean Farm Orchard
in Petit Jean Farm Orchard, ArkansasEd and his orchard seem lovely!
Though we ended up not camping at the orchard because of thunder storms, we connected with Ed and he seemed very helpful, he even offered to let us stay in his barn, which would have been an absolutely lovely place to stay!
On the day we were supposed to arrive we hit some pretty torrential rains on the highway, so I booked a cabin further west before I reached out to him to communicate our changes plans - I certainly wish we had just stayed with him because his orchard looks so beautiful, and would have been a more memorable experience.
We will book with him again on our next trip through the area, for sure! And, we really look forward to camping on his property!
Alpaca's of Fairhawk
in Alpaca's of Fairhawk, PennsylvaniaThe most wholesome night camping
I had the most wholesome, enjoyable sleeping experience ever at the Alpaca's of Fairhawk! The family invited me to set up my tent in the barn because of the rain, and so I left my tent door open while I was in there. One barn cat slept on my feet; another barn cat slept on my shoulder. Their 100 pound+ puppy slept up against my tent - This was the sweetest cuddle puddle. The family was super welcoming, accommodating, and enjoyable to share time, conversation, and breakfast with. The land is lovely, the animals are abundant, and it is a place that feels like home. I will be returning for sure!
The farm is located in a very conservative rural area where folks express their belief systems freely.
