This was a return visit with different friends and it was just as good as the first time! The kitchen is so well equipped it makes for an easy stay, there is lots of shade, perfect trees to hang our hammocks, and the river for cooling off, playing and swimming. The dog had a ball too.

We had such a great time over 3 nights as a party of 4 families with 6 adults and 8 kids (aged 4-10) abd a dog. We had mixed weather but it really didn’t matter, no one wanted to leave. The kids loved the river which kept the paddlers and sandcastle builders happy as well as the rowdy 10 year olds who could swim and jump and splash. Lots of fishing, with turtles and carp caught (and released), and wombats spotted. We explored up and down stream - incredibly beautiful landscape. Evenings by the fire and games round the table, naps in the hammocks, and even a movie night (we bought a projector and used a tent panel as the screen). Kitchen so well equipped (omg a dishwasher!!). This was easy camping for exhausted parents and lively kids. We loved it so much we immediately booked a return trip :)
