***Brand New Listing***

Come enjoy a relaxing retreat into nature in one of our 200 sq ft Bell Tents! Each of our tents is equipped with a queen mattress, bedding, and lighting for a luxurious camping experience.

Our property is a densely forested 85 acres with a walk-able 2 miles around the perimeter of the property and many trails and hidden nooks to explore throughout the heart of this beautiful escape back to our natural roots. We are in the process of mapping out the trails- which we plan to make available soon! For now those of you with a sense of adventure and desire to explore will certainly be satisfied.

We have a full acre size pond and a kayak that you can feel free to use. There is a communal area around the pond that we will be adding to in the near future- you may run into some of our community members or other campers there from time to time, we invite you to socialize, bring a chair, perhaps a beverage or snack and get to know each other and us as well if we cross paths!

You will observe and encounter wildlife in abundance including a variety of birds, wild hogs, opossums, armadillo, moles, spiders, scorpions, butterflies, praying mantis, walking sticks, snakes- keep an eye out for rattlesnakes and copperheads, deer, many insects, and more. Please be cautious and treat these creatures' home with respect for them as well as yourselves. Our property is also home to some lovely cows, chickens, a few dogs, and several cats- they (other than the cows who do what they please) generally remain in areas away from our camp sites though they may still decide to stop by to say hello!

We have many spaces available for camping throughout the property. These are primitive campsites on raw land so you will need to provide your own tent, water, food, and operate with a leave no trace mentality when camping here. There are areas that can accommodate large groups of campers as well as very secluded nooks if you are looking for a private retreat into nature. There is plenty of fallen wood available for firewood and a fire pit will be prepared for you before arrival!

Great Spot. Tent is quite spacious and the lights that are set up are just right. Little trail leading to the tent adds the perfect touch of adventure heading into the campsite. Amazing time.

We loved our experience at the Sunrise Clearing Bell Tent! We went for one night with 3 (!!) dogs for a quick get out of the city night and this really delivered.
Getting to the camping spot was easy- we were met at the gate and show exactly where to park and the. Given a tour of the campsite. We also met Charlie and Iko who were both so friendly and great hosts! The firewood bundle we purchased was well assembled and finding extra kindling was easy. The spot feels really secluded visually because of the trees around it. Would love to see it when it’s in bloom!
The tent was gorgeous. It felt like being in a fairy tent with the lights on. The bed was comfy and even the sheets were great!

One thing to note- you’re out in what feels like the middle of nowhere but there are actually still a lot of people living nearby- and a lot of dogs! They started barking and howling around 11 and went till probably 8 AM. Roosters joined in around 5 or 6, and there was a train that went by a few times. If you need it really quiet to sleep, make sure to bring earplugs. This is something that just happened a over there, nothing the hosts could do about it and if you’re a heavy sleeper you probably won’t even notice.

Overall, we loved it. The hosts did a great job, our dogs were in heaven and we plan to return in the spring!

I really enjoyed staying at this yurt facility. I wasn’t as prepared as I should have been. Staying here as if you’re camping out but you don’t have to put up your tent. So bring everything you need as if you’re camping just not a tent. Make sure to bring extra blankets and if you have a camp heater that would be helpful during the cold nights. The guy that helped us out was very accommodating and helped me with the things I forgot to pack.

Nice quick getaway from Austin. The tent and bed were very comfortable and our host was most welcoming. Having the propane burner and power block(battery for small electronics) available was super convenient. We will be back!

Neat spot to give you a nice mixture of glamping + camping. The tent was nice and spacious, with great lights wrapped within for the night. The toilet they have is perfect for this type of environment and the walk going to and from your car to tent is very easy and straightforward. They do have a narrow, long wagon you can use for your gear, which is nice.

At night, it's pretty quiet. I was surprised at the amount of trains that pass through here. It didn't bother me, but if those type of noises (train + constant blowing of the horn) bother you, it can be quite loud.

Charlie was great at communicating with us and meeting us at the gate, with our late check in. We checked in after a day of rain, so he met us on foot and walked us over to the parking area. We did request to buy firewood at the last minute, thinking we could just buy it on the spot. We paid $25 for 2 bundles, I see now the listing says $10/per, so not sure which is right. We received basically the branches/chops of trees surrounding us. It was hard to get a fire going since it was wet from the rain that day. The corner store is super convenient and we bought some fire starter + bag of coal. The next day, we bought our bundles of firewood from Lowe's.

Overall, great trip. It was nice to not have service and be off grid for a little bit. Preferably, I'd like to have my car near (where I can see it) or with me, but if you don't care -- this is a good spot to camp.

Sarah was very responsive in helping us get there. The person that met us at the gate wore a mask the whole time, was very personable and even offered to help us carry our gear! The campsite was great and very clean. Plenty of firewood around. We paid $10 for the bundle and it was more than enough to get us through the night. The only thing that I don't think is mentioned in the listing is that there is not parking near the campsite. You have to walk a well maintained trail and they provided use of a homemade cart to help get our stuff out there. It wasn't a huge inconvenience, however we would have packed a little differently. Overall, great place and we look forward to next time!!
