Our property is a densely forested 85 acres with a walk-able 2 miles around the perimeter of the property and many trails and hidden nooks to explore throughout the heart of this beautiful escape back to our natural roots. We are in the process of mapping out the trails- which we plan to make available soon! For now those of you with a sense of adventure and desire to explore will certainly be satisfied.

We have a full acre size pond and a kayak that you can feel free to use. There is a communal area around the pond that we will be adding to in the near future- you may run into some of our community members or other campers there from time to time, we invite you to socialize, bring a chair, perhaps a beverage or snack and get to know each other and us as well if we cross paths!

You will observe and encounter wildlife in abundance including a variety of birds, wild hogs, opossums, armadillo, moles, spiders, scorpions, butterflies, praying mantis, walking sticks, snakes- keep an eye out for rattlesnakes and copperheads, deer, many insects, and more. Please be cautious and treat these creatures' home with respect for them as well as yourselves. Our property is also home to some lovely cows, chickens, a few dogs, and several cats- they (other than the cows who do what they please) generally remain in areas away from our camp sites though they may still decide to stop by to say hello!

We have many spaces available for camping throughout the property. These are primitive campsites on raw land so you will need to provide your own tent, water, food, and operate with a leave no trace mentality when camping here. There are areas that can accommodate large groups of campers as well as very secluded nooks if you are looking for a private retreat into nature. There is plenty of fallen wood available for firewood and a fire pit will be prepared for you before arrival! We will continue to offer primitive camping, but stay tuned for updates on areas we will be adding amenities to!

Lovely place for primitive camping. We hung out around the campfire, checked out the many mushrooms and flowers, and saw a huge spider that had taken up residence in the tire of our car. Did a little kayaking and fishing and of course got to look at all of the stars in the beautiful clear Texas night sky. Will be coming back!

We had a great time and loved that this was close enough to downtown Austin to feel convenient but still felt like we got away! Campsite #1 was lovely and perfect for what we needed, although I will say a loud train comes nearby every few hours or so and their neighbors chickens and roosters are pretty vocal. It did not bother us and felt like a fair trade off for the nature and solitude we felt! We brought our dog and werr approached by the neighbors very sweet and quiet dogs who ran off after I shooed them away. If those small details above don’t bother you- we would highly recommend this spot for a one night camping getaway!

Great for beginner primitive camping. I took my 3 young sons for there first primitive experience. We were greeted by Jerry who took us where we could stay and set us up with a fire ring and some fire wood. He showed us around and left us to camp. They had a mulching style latrine which was nice. My boys loved the pond where we had some luck catching some smaller fish for fun. We also brought a canoe and a kayak which they loved paddling around the pond. The pond is a decent size and in good shape. They do also have a small kayak available for use. There were some groups of people who do stay on the property so we weren't quite sure how much we could explore, but really didn't run into anyone. The property is fenced so larger wild animals aren't a major concern. We will probably come back again in the near future while my boys are still young.

This place is the most private and primitive spot we have ever stayed in. We literally could have been naked the entire time. All you get is a fire pit, so bring wood or an ax. The cemetery next door and all the spiders added to the ambiance. I had dreams of meeting Aragog in the woods. We will be back.

Such a fun place. Our first HipCamp experience. My dog loved swimming in the lake and being in nature is just what we needed. There is a train situation but that can't be fixed. We walked the property as well and did a little bit of trekking through the woods. :) We booked site 3 but ended up staying in site 1 because they just got their compost toilet up and running. We will be back!
