Welcome to our little piece of paradise! 55 acres of woods hidden near town. A network of trails criss-cross the creek and wind throughout the property under a peaceful canopy of large beautiful trees. Don't be surprised if you run into deer, squirrels, or roadrunners! Our property is home to a wide variety of hill-country wildlife.

 - Each of our campsites are private and surrounded by forest.

 - Each site has a fire ring for campfires

 - Our trees are our most precious natural resource and set this campground apart! Please don't do anything to harm them.

 - Port-o-john available on site.

 - All of our campsites are primitive. No electric or water here.

 - When you camp with us you are welcome to explore and play on  the entire property! We have 55 acres of trails and woods to explore! Please bring your bikes, trail shoes, or whatever helps you have fun in the wild!

 - Hammocks welcome! We have so many trees! All of our sites are hammock friendly.

 - When you check in, your host will help you find your campsite.

 - Some sites are drive-in where your vehicle can park right next to the fire. Others are walk-in and require a short hike of 100' or less from your parking space. You can indicate your preference during booking or at check-in.

If you want to drive right in to your site, Campsites 2, 6, & 12 are the sites you want.

Some of our campsites are more secluded than the others and offer extreme privacy in the most beautiful settings we have to offer. If you're looking for a wilder campsite surrounded by huge old trees and and all the peace the woods have to offer, just request Campsites 4, 5, 7, or 8. Each of these sites require a walk of at least 50' from your vehicle to the fire ring.

Site 13 is only for backpackers or people willing to hike about 500 yards to the campsite. There is no way to drive to it or even get close except on foot. But it is spectacular and beautiful!

Only two sites can accommodate a trailer or camper. Site 1 and site 6. Please notify me in your booking if you intend to bring a camper and I can accommodate you.

Heads-up! We have a small farm on the property where we raise domestic goats, chickens, and pigs.

Dogs are always welcome and we LOVE our furry friends! For their safety and the safety of our livestock please keep them leashed while on property.

I camped with my best friend and my autistic son, and we had a wonderful weekend unwinding in the woods around a cozy little fire. The hosts were super friendly, the trash removal service was worth every penny, and made packing up to go home easier without having to find a spot in the car for our bag of trash. Just don't forget to bring some mosquito repellant!

Easy access but met our needs for my young son's first camping trip. We stayed in spot 2 which had parking and plenty of space next to the portapotty. It recently rained so there were alot of mosquitos. We put on bug spray and once the campfire and citronella started rolling it was no longer a problem. Make sure to bring an extension cord as there is no electric so we used our car. There is a spot further in that has parking too (maybe 7) that we want to stay at next time. It is the most beautiful spot in the place as it is secluded, shaded and scenic. For a quick trip, we plan to come again.

Wasn't a bad experience. Host was very nice. My only complaints were that the fire pit was full of trash when we got there, there were a lot of plants that would have made pitching a tent hard without a footprint, and the drive way was full of large sharp rocks (make sure you don't drive anything lower to the ground than an SUV). Otherwise though for the price, it was a fun experience, so thanks for the hospitality!

Nice woody area but traffic noise and rock construction site right near area made it difficult for peaceful night. The rock construction was working all night and felt like they were right next to my camp site. Tough to rest and sleep.

Lost woods was a great campground for those not afraid to rough it! Definitely gives you a feel of being lost in the woods. Plenty of trails available for hiking/biking. Even though it is in the city it still has a very secluded feel to it! Lots of trees: elms, oak, juniper, hackberry. Lots of wild edibles! A few prickly pear cactus, some Texas bird pepper, mustang grapes, juniper berries and I saw quite a few turkey tail mushrooms as well on fallen limbs on the trails. Probably a great spot for mushroom hunting after a rainy week. My family loved our overnight stay and my kids loved the little fairy house and gnome near the campsite. If you want to have an authentic camp out definitely visit Lost Woods. We will definitely be back in cooler weather.

We got in late for check in. No worries, James was ready with in a few minutes meeting us at the gate to show us our camp ground.
This was our first actual tent camping with our 16 and 8 yr old girls. Okay glamping cause momma can’t sleep with no AC.
The spot is e had was right around the corner from the pigs and chickens. 8 yr old loves that. Hubby and I walked the trails before the girls woke up and it was very nice barely touched by humans. Roads are more like big trails.
Hubbys 2500 GMC, 4 door, 8’ bed had some snug trees to get through to park. But no worries that what made the experience even better it was like we made it ourselves.
