Best RV/van spots: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2023.
I have owed this property for over 20 years. In the past, before I listed this property for camping, travelers would stop and ask to camp on my land. There are not many options for camping on this stretch of Hwy so I decided to offer up my place. So far guest have either loved it or hated it.

Plenty of reviews on this place. It’s a stop on the edge of a neighborhood. My only real issue with that was barking dogs all night. As well as cats fighting in the middle of the night. This is not a quiet private place to sleep. That said there is nothing out this way and I’d stay again.

A welcome stop off of I 10
This location is a little mixed. It functioned well for what we needed and was a very welcome stop in a location without many options for a while, as the listing says. For that, thanks very much for the option. We went through this part of Texas during a VERY windy two days. We actually debated if we should even stay because the winds whipping through were moving our rig all over the place, and it didn't have any protection. But, there wouldn't be any other options for a while, and may have been just as bad any place else we could have found. We didn't use the water, so I can't speak to that. The 30 amp power tested out fine according to my surge protector and gave us power all night as expected. The location is the last lot in a pretty sparse area already. We saw zero people except one or two cars that drove by. But again, the wind was absolutely crazy. I wouldn't have been outside if I could avoid it. The breaker switches for the various plugs are in a larger breaker box panel right there with all the plugs. You just have to look, and they are well labeled (Top 30 amp, bottom 30 amp, etc)

Just what we needed for a quick overnight to break up a long drive. The site description and directions were spot on. Really easy to find and hookup water and electric.

50AMP RV SITE
Exactly as described. Right off the highway, private, easy to find (follow to the hosts instructions when you get off the highway, not gps), pretty views. There is electric & water and it’s flat & easy to maneuver. I would recommend to anyone needing a stop over.
