Incredible views! Perfect secluded campsites. 1/4 mile from Little Burro County Store. Super convenient for campfire food. 10/10 would recommend

We booked last minute and I’m so glad we did! The location was great and very easy to get to, the sites were spacious and well maintained, and we were the only ones there! We arrived just in time for sunset and the surrounding area is very picturesque. I would definitely camp here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jackass Flats! It was our first time camping in the desert and I am so glad that we did. Due to the remoteness of the area, we were able to see an amazing display of stars at night. We even had the privilege to hear a Coyote yipping. The kids also loved walking up to the store to say hi to the donkeys. We spent the majority of our day at Big Bend so it was a nice and flat spot to rest our heads. Typical primitive port-o-potty situation and be sure to bring your own water. The only table at our site was a camp table- just big enough for our stove and our jug of water. But really, we didn’t mind it at all. Staff was very friendly when we came across them (again, we left for the park before the store was open and came back after the store was closed). The time we did spend on grounds though made great memories. We are grateful for the hospitality of the owners to share their property. We would definitely recommend!

A truly remarkable little gem! If you are looking for peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets, and friendly hosts, I can’t recommend it highly enough. There’s no cell service, but the store WiFi works very well. While it is a little further to Big Bend than staying in Terlingia itself would be, it’s more than worth the extra few minutes drive to come back to the stillness and a sky utterly filled with stars

We arrived after the store closed. Went to our primitive site. Nice site and beautiful sunset. Sunrise was equally beautiful. Wifi works at primitive sites closer to the highway/store. I recommend these sites, good space.

Very nice stay close enough to Big Bend Park. Enjoyed viewing the animals and having WiFi at the General Store. Felt very safe and had no problem finding the property!
