Riverfront tent camping in the shade of rustling sycamores or under towering walnut trees. Relax and enjoy the crystal-clear Guadalupe River from a 600’ long private, grassy beach, or bring your own kayak/canoe/paddle board for a more active adventure along our 1500' of private river frontage. Bring your binoculars or camera to catch a view of white-tail deer, woodpeckers, red tailed hawks, owls, wild hogs, vultures, and more!
We have 3 designated campsites for tent camping available. To preserve privacy and tranquility, we limit guests to 1 tent/4 people/1 vehicle per site. Each site has a wood burning fire ring/grill and is accessible by car. **NOTE the roads may become inaccessible during heavy or extended periods of rain, so 4x4 may be required or campers can reschedule for better weather.** There is NO power/potable water/restroom. We provide a pop-up privacy tent with portable toilet bucket, toilet paper and waste bags for each campsite, and you must pack out all waste and trash with you. Bring your own firewood or collect fallen wood on property (there is plenty).
Dogs are allowed, on the leash at all times and campers must pick up all pet waste and pack out. No aggressive breeds or excessive barkers. If you are uncertain, please check with me before booking.
Please help us respect the land and our neighbors!!! No glass bottles. No ground fires. No loud music. No trespassing (you may access the river only from our land, please do not enter neighbors’ land. The river is public, the shores are private).
We do not allowing driving on the beach area/by the water. The soil is extremely sandy and you will get stuck. There is a dirt road that goes near the water so you can drive down, drop your gear near the water, and turnaround and park back at your campsite. There is limited parking close to the river.
We have some beautiful day use sites by the river but do not allow bookings for overnight stays at these sites due to possibility of flooding during heavy rains. If you are interested in camping closer to the water, please check with us when you arrive and we'll see if the forecast is favorable to allow you to move campsites.
We are working to improve the roads. In the event of heavy rains the roads may be impassible without a 4x4 vehicle, including the road in/out of the property.
The owners will be on the property at most times. If you see us, we would love for you to say hi and to hear more about you and your thoughts about our site. Our Airstream and shop/storage area is off-limits to campers at this time. We are actively maintaining the land and building some exciting new amenities, so please be aware this will be ongoing during your stay. We try to set the campsites away from our work areas so you should not be disturbed, but you may see us mowing or trimming near your site.
For larger groups, you may make multiple reservations to account for the number of campers (4 per reservation), and we can put you all together at a larger campsite.
A few safety precautions...
-This area is prone to flooding so always check the forecast and evacuate in the event of severe weather. There is a nearby flood siren tested weekly, every Saturday at noon. If you hear the siren at any other time, leave immediately. We will contact all campers when we are alerted of flood watches/warnings.
-Always keep a sharp eye out for snakes! Snakes are often found under rocks, fallen limbs, in the leaf litter, hidden in tall, grassy and brushy areas, in areas mice or rats may be such as trash, brush and rock piles, and stacked lumber. Look where you step and said to never reach under rocks or into holes or other blind crevices.
-The river is swift in some areas and there may be underwater obstructions. Swim at your own risk, always supervise children, and wear personal floatation devices as required by boating laws or as recommended for swimmers.
-Be on the lookout for poison ivy and avoid if you're allergic.
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR STAY

- Check out: Before 12PM

- On arrival: Meet and greet

Great place to camp!!
Great place to tent camp! The camp site was beautiful spot! It was a perfect little getaway for my little family. We would love to go back hopefully soon! Sylvia was a great host and very responsive to all messages. Thank you for let us enjoy you’re a nice property.
Great place, great location by the river. Calm and quiet. Short drive to tubing. Only issue we had was with ants, so come prepared. The drive in could get muddy so keep an eye on the weather, but otherwise it was a great stay! Highly recommend !
Excellent location and hosts
Excellent location. Ask about state of the mud road into the property first though. Had some rain and got pretty severely stuck as the hill is decently steep and muddy. But excellent hosts, they came out in the middle of the night to pull us out with a tractor. Above and beyond. Looking forward to returning on a dryer weekend.
Natural escape a
Sylvia’s property and hospitality was amazing. They provided a serene, natural, and private escape where we could enjoy the beginning of summer on the river. Highly recommend.
Sylvia’s property is wonderfully connected to nature and perfect for families and friends looking to enjoy the Texas outdoors with access to a gorgeous river front. Bring bug spray and sunscreen!
Will and Sylvia are the best kind of land stewards. Their tract is geographically unique with lots of river frontage and they are being careful and contemplative of how they develop the few campsites they are planning on. it is still a work in progress but in all the best ways as they make sure future visitors are not lined up cheek to cheek but have enough privacy to have a quality experience in the natural world. Perfectly gracious and informative Host and Hostess with that old school Texas friendliness.
