Natural features you'll find at Shady oaks camp under the stars in Texas.
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The property was great, very secluded, a little noisy from the road but it wasn’t a problem at all. I saw a bit of poison ivy, but it wasn’t anywhere in the way or on the trails. We never ran into Adam but he was great about texting back. We pulled into town around 2 am and he was glad to let us stay. The trees are beautiful, there were a lot of beautiful mushrooms, cute little trails, and a pond. We stayed for 4 days and it was an overall great experience! And The price is great for the location
Shady Oaks was great! A house number would have helped on the Trip Page, but Adam was awesome about replying so we could find it. As far as the grounds, they were beautiful and so fun to walk around. We especially enjoyed the pond and the sound of animals around us.
A wondrous affordable retreat!
This space is absolutely breathtaking there’s a perfect balance of trees and clear spaces to feel like you’re away but also that you’re still in Texas there’s a lot of different landscapes from the sky to the pond and I found the host to be extremely accommodating and kind and available and to be welcoming!!!
I was looking for something a little bit closer and I ended up coming here divinely when the two other hosts I originally tried to book with were unavailable to verify the location when hip camp was having an issue with their app!!
This space was the perfect retreat that I was looking for when connecting with my family for the first time in five years!
They even were able to accommodate my 32 foot camper with little adjustments!
They Offered me the use of water from their home.
They offered to trim some tree limbs and I graciously declined saying it was against my religion to harm trees they heard and excepted my spiritual hippieness ;)
They hosted other campers as well and we were able to have enough space from each other to have our own experiences I was positioned at the back towards the fence!
I hope to be able to return here in the future really hope these new hosts will continue to allow people to be on their land during this challenging time in the world!
