All hydrants are connected to our well, providing great drinking water (tested regularly)
Graveled parking space is available in front of cabin 2, but also to the left of the outdoor shower building. There is also a large, approved campfire pit for all camping guests. Off the ground grills are allowed, no other fires close to the ground. Please, bring your own firewood. You will find plenty at local gas stations and grocery stores. Regular check-in time is between 4 pm and 7 pm at our home. Exception are made for the log cabin No 1 and No 2 as well as the tipi, since later arrivals for these can easily find their own way to their lodgings. We will leave the light on outside and the door unlocked at the cabins. There is also always a light shining on the restroom at the garage which you drive by on your way to the tipi. We are usually open May through September. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea on our porch in the morning from 7 am to 9:30 am. You can use our fast guest WiFi here as well. It reaches throughout the campground. However, the only cell service for a few miles around the ranch is AT&T. We enjoy to keep our peaceful place clean, as well as smoke and drug free and I hope you respect and appreciate this as much as we do. Sorry, no guest pets, no exception, not even service dogs, since I am very allergic to dog hair. Tent sites are offered for 2 persons max. If there are more people in your group, book more sites and set up your tents anywhere in the offered locations. While at the ranch, explore Jack's Custom Barn Wood Frames & Furniture shop and Isa’s art work and Black Hills Flower Essences products or if you are so inclined, plan in a little time for an intuitive Tarot Reading with Isa – you might just, like so many before you over the last 3 decades, walk away amazed and inspired.

Plenty star, plenty fabulous!
This is my first HipCamp experience and perhaps I had beginner’s luck but Plenty Star was amazing. Isa and Jack couldn’t have been lovelier. The location is superb, the accommodations were varied and wonderful (I was in a cabin, there are two, there’s a teepee, two RV hookups, multiple tent sites. The solar shower bag is a revelation. I wish there was availability for me to stay longer - alas, they book up! I thoroughly enjoyed the child-free, smoke-free environment. Two thumbs way up.
LOVED this stay! This was the perfect first stop to my cross country trip. Very convenient location to Custer SP, Mt Rushmore, under 2 hours to the Badlands as well. The view from outside the cabin was amazing & Isa was super responsive. 10/10
South dakota cozy beds
The cabin was really cozy and the beds were very comfortable. I really wish we had brought bikes...there is a GREAT trail right in front of this camp. The showers should be listed as cold water only. There were some internet issues but the host said she was going to work on them.
A cozy ranch cabin - don't miss!
Plenty Star was a wonderful place to stay. The small cabin was incredibly comfortable and cozy. The property is gorgeous and well equipped for guests. We saw deer and wild turkeys several times on the grounds and the fire pit was a great place to meet other guests and listen to the summer thunderstorms.
Stayed at the wilderness glamping cabin and let me tell you it was the highlight of our entire cross country road trip. You drive a mile on a dirt road (guided by the host) until you reach the most picturesque glen surrounded by trees--absolute, complete privacy. It had everything we needed and it was the most gorgeous slice of heaven. Isa was a responsive, thoughtful host and Jack was so pleasant and welcoming. I was hesitant to post a review so positive because I would love to keep this secret to myself! Highly, highly recommend.
This cabin was amazing. It was cozy and comfortable for 2 adults in separate beds. The property itself was also incredible with horses, a pond and wide open spaces. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
