All hydrants are connected to our well, providing great drinking water (tested regularly)
Graveled parking space is available in front of cabin 2, but also to the left of the outdoor shower building. There is also a large, approved campfire pit for all camping guests. Off the ground grills are allowed, no other fires close to the ground. Please, bring your own firewood. You will find plenty at local gas stations and grocery stores. Regular check-in time is between 4 pm and 7 pm at our home. Exception are made for the log cabin No 1 and No 2 as well as the tipi, since later arrivals for these can easily find their own way to their lodgings. We will leave the light on outside and the door unlocked at the cabins. There is also always a light shining on the restroom at the garage which you drive by on your way to the tipi. We are usually open May through September. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea on our porch in the morning from 7 am to 9:30 am. You can use our fast guest WiFi here as well. It reaches throughout the campground. However, the only cell service for a few miles around the ranch is AT&T. We enjoy to keep our peaceful place clean, as well as smoke and drug free and I hope you respect and appreciate this as much as we do. Sorry, no guest pets, no exception, not even service dogs, since I am very allergic to dog hair. Tent sites are offered for 2 persons max. If there are more people in your group, book more sites and set up your tents anywhere in the offered locations. While at the ranch, explore Jack's Custom Barn Wood Frames & Furniture shop and Isa’s art work and Black Hills Flower Essences products or if you are so inclined, plan in a little time for an intuitive Tarot Reading with Isa – you might just, like so many before you over the last 3 decades, walk away amazed and inspired.

I would not call it a lake, just a couple of ponds, nice to look at and enjoy the wildlife at it, but not really suitable to swim.

Magical ranch in the black hills
My wife and I had a fantastic time at Plenty Star Ranch this past week. The entire property is pure magic and it is situated nearby all the great activities in the Black Hills. Isa was super accommodating when we decided to stay two extra nights because we are having so much fun in the area. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay— being right next to the highway and Mickelson Trail was very convenient. The solar shower and RV facilities were excellent! Isa is a very nice host. Thank you.
Nice location/too $ for tight space
My husband and daughter stayed here recently and what they really loved was the location! They said it was close to everything that they wanted to see. It was nice to be able to spend the day hiking and exploring without having too far to go to get back to the camp site.
There were a few things that they disliked as well. They felt like the campsites were too close together. Having others so close made it harder to enjoy time outside of the camper. There was also a lot of tall grass around that had little pricker things that would poke your feet and stick to clothes (obviously this is hard to avoid, but just be prepared with good shoes). Be sure to bring bug spray as the mosquitos during their time there were pretty thick (they camped in July) They said the hardest part was only having one toilet. They said that the door did not lock, so they both experienced the door being opened on them when they were using the facilities.
We are not typically nit picky of camping spaces, they were happy to have a safe place to set up camp that had electric/running water/ and a toilet. Had this place been a bit cheaper it would have been worth it, but we felt that for the price there were just some things that could have been better and were worth mentioning.
We Highly recommend Plenty Star Ranch. My husband and I spent a fabulous, peaceful and relaxing week here. The beautiful location and views were equally enjoyable as the host Isa and her husband, very kind, generous and accommodating! Extremely well maintained and planned campsite. Absolutely love the calmness and peace it provides, We will definitely return. Thank you both so very much. Tracie and Lanyard
Peaceful and great location
We stayed at one of three full hook up sites in our travel trailer. The setting was great, a very peaceful property with great trees, ponds and views of rocky hillside. Our hosts were gracious and added to enjoyment of this property. The toilet and solar shower were very clean. The location was perfect super close to the quaint town of Custer and the unbelievable beautiful Custer State Park. Would highly recommend.
