Jacob, the host, has thought of everything. This is as beautiful and well put together of a property as it seems from the description and pictures. I was amazed at how private this site is given that it's on the lake. The porto is super clean, the tent pad is flat, and the parking is super easy. The cell reception is good too, two bars on my t-mobile. Highly recommend. Just bring ear plugs for the neighbors rooster in the morning - LOL!

Great experience! The campsite was great and it’s a very short walk to the lake where you can fish or utilize one of the optional canoes or kayaks (for a small fee). There is a main road right beside the camp, but you are still a bit shielded thanks to the trees. Traffic is very minimal, so there isn’t much road noise at all. There are homes nearby, so you will hear dogs barking. None of that takes away from a great overall experience. Also, Jacob is very timely with any correspondence. I highly recommend!

Loved this place! Clean, private, plenty of firewood. Lake access was awesome, night fishing from the dock was a lot of fun under the stars. Maybe next time we might actually catch something. I plan on co.ing again!

Google maps a lil misleading, had to drive down the street a lil further then we found a mailbox with the address. Paved road leading to the only campsite on natural land, u pass by portapotty on right side and the short trail to private dock in small section of lake away from boat traffic. Water toys offered for rent were in great shape. The hill to campsite is not for cars, my van scrapped when i drove up to unload so i say park at bottom and carry gear up hill to open land with large gravel tent spot, firepit with plenty of wood and seating, good tree covering with a balance of skyline to gaze thru, its close to road but we only seen one car pass in 3 days, far away is a dog kennel( dogs barking) but not close enough to ruin our experience ( i imagine they keep monsters away lol) we caught and released nice size bluegill and some baby catfish, seen a beaver couple across shore, cool bats over water as night set in, a few deer, gas station close by with bait and other supplies, a great experience and less than hour away from downtown Greenville. All i can say is "book it!" No disappointment

Jacob's campsite is a steal!
A private cove, on private land with a very cool (but small) waterfall within a short kayaking trip. AND the campsite is still within minutes of a gas station/store if you need anything.
The only con I have to mention is the barking dogs... be sure to bring earplugs. This is beyond Jacob's control and still did not take away from our lovely trip.

The trees kept us covered and the water brought relief during the summer heat. Would 10/10 recommend this camping spot for adventures kayakers.

PROS:
Can't beat the listing price.
Jacob is very communicative and polite.
The site comes with a fire pit and all the wood you could need.
Plenty of space.
Quite, great view from the dock.
Really nice camping pad for a very large tent or two small ones.
It is on a dead-end road.
No using the woods as a bathroom there is a porta-potty.
Has TP it in.
You can "shower off" with the hose.
If renting kayaks, Jacob will leave them by the dock for you.
CONS:
The driveway up to the campsite is PRETTY steep. We had to disconnect our trailer that we brought the kayaks on and leave it on the road. (which was safe and private)
We had small sedans that made it up. It's not impossible just a little bumpy and steep.

The water spigot has a garden hose attached which is completely safe for drinking water. Just a heads up. Great for washing dishes/showering.

You do need to carry your kayaks down a hill to the dock and back up to leave. If you are young and able this should be fine.

Nosy dogs ... start around 7 am.

With all that said already looking to plan a trip here again. We spent most of our time floating around the cove and laughing.

View of the campsite from a camping spot in the shade. Sunday after a great camping trip! Loading up the kayaks

Thanks for your review Sarah, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! When you come back, please feel free to let me know if the dogs are being loud. I have a great relationship with the dog owners and they are more than happy to do their best to quiet them down if I ask. Thanks, and happy camping!
