Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
Just 1.5 hours from Adelaide, Wombat Creek Camp is located on the eastern side of the Adelaide Hills and Mount Lofty Ranges, and close to the Marne River. Campers can enjoy the peace and tranquillity around the clock, sit patiently waiting for the wombats to go foraging or relax in front of a fire. This campsite suits self-contained campers with own camping toilet/shower amenities and pets are welcome. This campsite is an excellent base from which to make day trips to the Murray River, the world-renowned Barossa wine region or the Adelaide Hills, all of which are about 34-45 minutes away. Campers can go 4WD driving on a track 10 minutes away and visit a wildlife sanctuary. If you have a black light you will see the Wombats in the dark. There is also a walking trail nearby, and a community native garden to visit. This area comes into “The International Dark Sky Reserve,” which means on a clear night, there are Stars a plenty. I may come down to site to meet n greet if I’m home. RV dump points are about half an hour away, one in Mt Pleasant at the oval and one across the River in Mannum. All access is best from Three Chain rd, thru the neighbours gate, and once thru the gate, please keep left to remain on my property. I ask that all tenters and swaggers please bring a portable camping toilet. Tents don’t do too well in the case of strong winds which can occur, however, I have had many a tents here in the past. Every first Sunday of the month, the Cambrai Agricultural museum is open, and also the Old Barn at Sedan has open mike free entry with light meals and a lisence bar . A good Sunday outing close by. Also , large groups over 30 plus ppl are welcome , and I will close other bookings for your event, be it a renunion, or an anniversary of some sort, or a club meeting,

Wombat Creek Camp
We camped in a group of 6 with 2 Caravans and a Camper Trailer. Reminded us very much of the Flinders Ranges but only an hour from home. It was a nice place and we would definitely return. Plenty of shade if needed and while it was dry, it wasn’t too bad. Able to have campfires each night which is always a winner

Wombat Creek Camp
Picturesque Cosy Getaway
What a gem! Tucked amongst a few gum trees between the stoney creek and grassy ranges, this site felt super cosy. Perfect little getaway. Spotted a bunch of owls, raptors, lizards, and wombat warrens, plenty of great photo opportunities and times spent exploring! We can’t wait to come back again, again!

Wombat Creek Camp
Wombat Creek camp was brilliant. Silvia was very friendly and hospitable, met us at the gate to show us our camp-site. Silvia came on the last day for a chat, say thankyou and answer our questions about the property history. Beautiful camp-site with stunning sunrise views, and we did get a visit by a wombat. If your after a spot not far from Adelaide that feels like a world away this place would suit.
