Spear Creek is more than just another Holiday Park. Set immediately adjacent to the Western slopes of the Flinders Ranges in the middle of a 21,000 acre working sheep station providing privacy, security and an experience like no other. Spear Creek is located 25 kilometres south-east of Port Augusta, only 12km off Highway 1. Our eastern boundary follows the summit of the ranges north from Horrocks Pass, with walking trails through deep gorges to range top views of upper Spencer Gulf. The Holiday park is nestled amongst 600 year old river red gums adjacent to the ranges. You may meet any of the three different species of kangaroos, echidnas, or 85 species of birds including wedge-tail eagles and peregrine falcons who call Spear Creek home. The owner operators of this tourism business are fourth generation, whose families have been farmers and graziers on this land for over 130 years.Spear Creek is more than just your average caravan park. Set immediately to the western slopes of Flinders Ranges, in the centre of a 21,000 acre working sheep station, our park provides privacy, security and an experience like no other. Our many shady camping locations are set amongst 600-year old river red gums, and oversee an abundance of nature along 'Spear Creek'. All of these sites have access to drinkable spring water, fire rings and multiple amenity blocks. We invite our guests to explore our numerous walking and hiking trails that encompass the natural beauty and tranquillity of our unique part of the Southern Flinders Ranges. Historic caves, deep winding gorges, cypress pine gullies and an abundance of native wildlife provide the perfect location for picnics and bird watching.

Beautiful place
Beautiful place, so serene and surrounded with wildlife. We tried their home made sausages that were amazing. Wish we had brought some home! Highly recommended and I hope we can visit again one day.

What a great surprise
Much more than I expected. It's in an amazing location at the foot of a Flinders Ranges mountain with a spectacular view back to the water through a wind farm. The amenities are great, with power and water for our caravan. The site is so spread out you're not wall to wall with another carvan or camper. We met some great people and had a wonderful campfire. We wish we'd stayed longer.

Recommended for a night or two!
The place is pretty cool, with all amenities but you still get the feeling of camping in the wild. Staff is pretty friendly, and the shop they have can be a lifesaver if needed.

Tom’s sheep farm was in a great location at the south end of Flinders Rangers. Lots of caravan sites all dispersed in among the gum trees. Great walks along dry creek beds with kangaroos sighted. Directions were clear and easy to access from Port Augusta. The negative was (and it’s a big one for me) noise / loud music played to 1am from an event (marquee with 100+) held in the camp grounds.
