Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We are a short walk or drive from NASH Horse Treking for those who want to do a pub lunch ride on a horse. It is a fantastic experience so Google them to book. We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you. The town of Esk and two major dams are very close by where you can browse the antique shops, waterski, or fish to your heart's content. We are also close to Fernvale where there are big Sunday Markets.

Bush camping at its best, simon was a great host explained everything in detail and made me feel right at home.

Simon was a very friendly, helpful and caring host. There was maps provided of the farm yet Simon was still happy to show me to my site. It was lovely to know I could get eggs from the chickens and the designated fire spots whereby you can gather enough sticks and branches to keep the fire going at night. No bathroom facilities which was started clearly but lovely place to camp that is not too hectic and suits were spread out. Highly recommend for a peaceful camping getaway.

Awesome family getaway
Somerset Valley Farm was perfect for our family getaway over Easter, each camp site was out of sight from other campers, Simon is an awesome host that was very helpful with local attractions or having a good chat, his friendly dogs were good company, the kids are still talking about their stay on Simon’s site. Let’s say we will be back again 👍

Fantastic few days away on Simon’s property. He’s so welcoming and friendly. Great size sites, quiet but friendly atmosphere, good cycling round and about and a nice morning exploring Esk. Dog loved it too. Great value for money in countryside and so easy to get to from Brisbane. The Brisbane Valley Roasters at Esk is well worth a visit for some great coffee.

Absolutely would recommend this camping spot for anyone wanting to be away from any other campers. Had the most peaceful relaxing weekend away. We will definitely be coming back.
