Wonderful camping trip
I LOVED Stoney camp. Our spot was exactly what I LOVE about camping - being secluded from everyone, being in nature and having a fresh water river in front of you. Really what more can you ask for…
The swimming hole was SO refreshing (especially at 6am) and if you are lucky enough the locals (cows and horses) will come and say hello…
Highly recommended it and it wasn’t even that far from home… good weekend trip…
We loved the secluded nature of the Stony Creek site and the sound and view of the running creek. Our stay felt in touch with nature and soooooooo relaxing. We had morning and afternoon visit by friendly cows and horses grazing around us and our little one loved it. The dip in the cold creek water hole was another highlight of the stay. Toilet are clean and it was easy to find site. You would need to have hard floor camper to stay comfortably as the ground is stony.
Stony Camp was a little slice of nature at its best, plenty of tree cover, the campsite was a bit rocky but surrounded by good grass, it rained for a week prior to our arrival so the creek was flowing very strong making the noise of the water so relaxing, the cows come in for a visit in the early morning and return again in the arvo, this was not an issue but they did bring in plenty of flies, this may only occur due to the time of year but not 100%, other than that it is a very peaceful place to get away from the rat race of the city. I recommend this place if your after peace and privacy, there were other campsites in the area not to close but were empty due to the recent rain. Thanks Robert for sharing your beautiful farm to city slickers who love the bush. 👍
Great creek-side camping 🤽♂️🏕️
Locations of sites and flow creek are really nice. Heaps of distance between sites, so nice and quiet and private.
Even though we camped during a rainy period, it was still really good and access wasn't at risk.
We will be back for sure
This was a fantastic camp site. We could not recommend Sarabah Stud enough. Amazing and private with a beautiful swimming hole. Host Robert was extremely helpful and was able to deliver us some much needed firewood when we ran out. Another great thing about this campsite is the amazing Sarabah Winery next door where you can get a beautiful feed and even better wines.
Beautiful spot to take the family. Peaceful and quiet with only sounds of the creek and wildlife. Portable toilets are clean. Robert is an awesome host and cows and horses are friendly.
