Our oasis is a mostly hilly property covered in spotted gum and iron bark forest (koala country!) backing onto the Little Liverpool Range, with about 1 acre of grassy, flat camping area at the entrance at the south-western end. The camping area is fenced and well behaved pets are welcome. Our neighbours horses and cattle often wander up the fence line to say g'day. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There are many walking tracks through the forest and a dam and small creek (often dry) that guests are welcome to have a swim in. Campfires are permitted so long as there are no restrictions in place. Please keep campfires supervised at all times. We’re about 10 minutes from most services (supermarket, hospital etc. in Laidley and 5 minutes from the world famous Mulgowie Hotel (say hi to Sara for us).Our oasis is a mostly hilly property covered in spotted gum and iron bark forest (koala country!) backing onto the Little Liverpool Range, with about 1 acre of grassy, flat camping area at the entrance at the south-western end. Koala Forest Camp
A perfectly peaceful Saturday night
It was beautiful to have a place to ourselves where we could relax. We went for a nice walk up the bush tracks and enjoyed the exercise and sights. It is close to Laidley which is a lovely little town. The site was flat and had some shade from the tree you camp near in the afternoon. There is no phone reception so have your address and directions clear before you get there. We didn't see any koalas but we heard a koala-like grunting sound early in the night. The site was nice and flat and grassed.
