Our first Hipcamp and we couldn’t have asked for a better location or more welcoming hosts in Ruth and Ken.
We were the only campers during our stay and chose a prime spot overlooking the plains. Photos really do not show how beautiful the view is or how spacious and well maintained the scenic camping area is.
The township of Pittsworth is just over 20mins drive away, with a dump point at the showground.
If you’re looking for somewhere to sit back and relax, this should be on your list.
What Ken & Ruth have here is paradise......as somebody said recently "we don't want to tell too many people about this place for our own selfish reasons". We honesty can't recommend this place highly enough and their attention to detail is 100 % in all areas.
Was so peaceful, excellent views. Remote, but people nearby if you need anything. Great campfires and chats with other like minded folk. Very relaxing, Ken and Ruth great hosts. Thoroughly recommend that you visit Fig Tree camping for next offgrid getaway. Or you can stay in the area with facilities, if you prefer.

We enjoyed our stay at Fig Tree. Lovely spot for a quiet getaway with birdlife, good views of the Darling Downs and plenty of space to choose a nice camp-site, with a fire pit to sit by at night. Ruth and Ken are friendly and gracious hosts. There are very clean toilet & shower facilities for those not fully self sufficient. Take a book and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Such a great place to camp. Ruth and Ken are great hosts. Just set up camp, light the fire and relax. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, not very many other campers. Amenities were excellent. Loved it, we will be back.
We loved our stay at Figtree! The hosts are wonderful and the property is beautiful. A lovely spot to have a fire and watch the sun set. Amenities are clean and great.
Enjoyable night, beautiful grounds and fantastic view of the Darling Downs. Nice to have a drink in the silo with the hosts Ruth and Ken.
What a beautiful place to stay - the view was spectacular - ken and Ruth are easy to deal with and very accommodating. We were self contained so didn't use the facilities. Went back for another stay because we loved it so much!
