Welcome to Crystal Ridge, a peaceful location where you can enjoy peace and privacy. Campers can fish, swim, bird watch or just relax by the water and watch the cows grazing around the property.  Nearby you'll find Mount Spec, Paluma Range National Park straddles the summit and escarpment of the Paluma Range, rising 1,000m above the Big Crystal Creek floodplain. This is the most southerly national park in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Located approximately 45 minutes north of Townsville on the Bruce Highway, Mutarnee is a small peaceful hamlet nestled on the banks of beautiful Crystal Creek. At the local caravan park there's a small shop and service station and just a minute down the road you'll find the Crystal Creek boat ramp.  There is great bushwalks in the area and place to mountain bike. Any camping set up is welcome to pull up on the flat, grassy site. You are welcome to bring your pet, but please ensure they are kept on a leash and under control.

We had an amazing experience at Crystal Ridge. It was a lovely relaxing spot, easy to get too, quiet and has a great swimming hole. We loved sitting by the campfire under the stars catching up with our friends in campsite 1! The only con was the grass needed a mow/slash as it long and itchy but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Highly rated, camping with animals,
Wonderful site, plenty of space and in good condition! It wasn't as close to the crystal creek boat ramp as I thought - which wouldn't have been a hassle if I didn't camp in a rooftop tent. Michael was very helpful and a great host. The creek was up and running quite well, as well as being freezing cold straight off the mountain at paluma so we didn't get the chance to really swim much but given the rain event that just occurred that's expected. It was a wonderful stay, and we will be back hopefully with a better weather window!

Peace and quiet. Beautiful creek for swimming in. The only suggestion would be to have the site mown just around the camp.

Almost perfect private spot! Just wished the grass was shorter but understandable with weather at this time of the year. Was thankful for the Kayak and swing.

Great spot to chill out with family and friends .. , The camp site has now been fenced off from the cattle which is a pity .
