We stayed there for 2 nights and it was fantastic. Remote and Peaceful campsite just for us. Dennis came by the next day for a little chat, a cool drink and brought some firewood. Our dog had the best time of her life as she was jumping in and out the water splashing around :). Thanks for having us there. Kat and Todd

The campsite is nice and private, right next to the creek with a swing in a tree on an island. Plenty of space for our big camper trailer and for the kids to run around. Good size fire pit with plenty of free firewood that the hosts delivered daily. Dennis and Sue (and their gorgeous dog Molly and granddaughter) were very friendly, warned us of storms and checked in on us after which was appreciated. Great spot close to Childers for supplies and not too far from Bundaberg. We were up from the gold coast hinterland to my hometown, it was the perfect place for some down time between visits to family.

This is our second stay at this amazing Hipcamp. We love the peace and quiet, the great walking tracks and fire pit.Sitting back listening to the abundance of bird life is great.Close to Childers to get all your supplies .Dennis and Susan are the most warm and welcoming hosts we have ever met.Beautiful people .Don’t listen to Jan .G review , she had to realise she was staying at Hipcamp and not a five star resort. We highly recommend this peaceful paradise.

Perfect bush camping, the access below the toe of the dam was soft and a little rough, particularly when wet. Recommend 4WD during or following wet weather.
Dennis and Sue were very friendly and helpful. The tracks and animal life were great - we saw birds, kangaroos and echidnas and heard a cacophony of frogs over the 2 days

The hosts never showed up.....the drive (paddocks) in was very worrying with our motorhome and very scared of getting bogged.
The photos were misleading...we honestly thought we would be camping by (or near) the dam.
The noxious weeds along the so called walks were so prickly the dogs (after getting pricked) wouldnt venture any further than the camp. I had thongs on and got pricked myself. Some were HUGE!
We used the bit of firewood that was there that night but by next morning .....still no sign of the hosts and with no more firewood ...and with the promise of rain we wanted to get out before getting bogged!!
The next day I get a message from the hosts saying they are away and that they had JUST received my message that I sent 3 days earlier!! Not impressed. They should have responded to my message before we even went there. We paid for 2 nights but stayed one night!
Our recommendations:
• Get all those prickly weeds out of the ground. around the campsite!! Way too many of them.
• Show a photo of the actual campsite and say the dam is a good 300metres from the camp site. I am an avid birdwatcher and honestly thought I would be sitting viewing the birdlife on the two dams. Where the camp is you can see nothing but tall reeds.
• Mention that the drive in is predominantly 4 wheel drive , 2 wheel drive in dry conditions but NOT suitable for caravans or motorhomes.
It was SO bumpy on the drive-in we feel its definitely NOT suitable for most caravans or motorhomes. Our contents in our cupboards were in a sorry way by the time we got to the camp. We wanted to turn around before we even GOT to the camp but couldnt.
• Check their messages regularly as we had NO idea the hosts werent on the property and not impressed we didnt receive a response before we headed there!!

Fantastic spot, very quiet with lots to do and see around the surrounding areas.
Dennis and Susan were great hosts, providing more than enough firewood for the 4 nights we stayed. Definitely would camp there again 👍

Jared, Thanks so much for the great comments regards our Creekside Camp site. We try hard to provide a quiet and peaceful site by only running the one site and clearly people appreciate that . Kind regards. Dennis & Sue Allison.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Creek Side Camp Site! You couldn't of asked for better hosts! Dennis checked in on us, the first night, providing a substantial amount of fire wood for our camp fire. The property is absolutely beautiful, with well-maintained walking tracks that lead around the beautiful creek and ponds. The wildlife is amazing, with a variety of Flora and Fauna. We were lucky to see a family of Kangaroos and even spotted an Echidna. The swing was an absolute treat, whilst admiring the creek. The park bench in another location, was lovely to sit out, when we were fishing. The property is extremely close to Woolworths, IGA etc, but further enough away from the town.
Dennis came down every couple of days to drop off firewood. We loved the fact that when you book in to the Creek Side Camp Site, you get it all yo yourself. We planned on staying a week, however we extended to 2 weeks.
Thank You Dennis and Susan for being Amazing hosts! We will Definitely be back!
