Our beautiful urban location near highway 410 and Bishop's University, directly on St. Francis river, makes it an exceptional starting point for cyclists who want to enjoy the Route Verte path; fish, canoe, kayak or tube the river or simply explore all Sherbrooke has to offer.  Our birdlife is amazing and is a recognized birding location by provincial authorities, especially for swallows and chimney swifts. A fire pit by the river will be made available, in respect of all fire bans, with firewood available for purchase, $5 cash per bundle.

Seasonal, fresh farm produce will be available for purchase as well as guided garden tours.   Canoes and bikes are also available.  Prior arrangements should be made with Chris.  Too cold, too wet? A tent trailer and camper van will be made available.

Parking in Chris's back yard worked out for us nicely as we had a reunion at one of the schools. The grass yard, had large trees for shade and was firm enough for my 33 ft class A and had a gentle slope, the space between the gardens may have been a little more level. There are no utilities.

Wonderful place to stay. We stayed at Chris’s place for 2 nights in our motor home on a level spot between two gardens. Flowers were in full bloom and were beautiful. His place is on the St. Francis River and we saw several deer and all kinds of birds. Explored the town of Sherbrooke on a 9 mile urban hike. Chris is a great host and we felt quite welcome.

Thanks Chris for sharing this nice nature. Your gardens are wonderful ! Although we arrived late, we have enjoyed a calm morning by the river.
Looking foward to come again when I am in the area.
And.... special thanks for having been so acommodating with our arrival !

Chris was very helpful with information and photos, so I’d know my way around. He also offered the tent trailer to sleep in, because of thunderstorms. The farm itself is cute, and the hipcamp area is well designated. Y only real gripe is that it is right next to the highway, and it sounded like there was an artillery(?) range somewhere close. My earplugs couldn’t quite handle that part. Overall, would recommend, with the noise caveat.

It was a pleasure to meet Chris, a man who has a social mission and a beautiful heart and, Yohann, a passionate volunteer and gardener. I was really flabbergasted by their amazing passion they put in the Farm house and how they want to teach others profitable farming principles. They answered all questions I had with patience. The site is full of energy, near the river. Deer, duck, nature is all around that I forgot the noise that come from the Main Street. It's like to be in campaign in town.

Meeting and talking with Chris was an absolute joy. He is doing great work for good people who need a hand and his land is a big part of it. If you visit don't miss speaking with him.
The site itself is very nice with access to the St. Francis river and a canoe is available at no additional cost. Site #2 has a view of the river and a fire pit.
One caution. the land is close to a fairly busy road. If you sensitive to road noise know that it tapers off after about 8 pm to to a 10% overall level.

My boyfriend and I loved tent camping on Chris's land! It was my first time and it won't be my last. It was such an incredible experience. The location is near interesting spots for hiking such as the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook. Chris was a really nice host. He made sure we had everything to have a good experience.

We had a wonderful stay here! Like others said, the road is fairly busy but it didn’t detract from the beautiful gardens, riverside sunset, marshmallows by the fire (firewood available) and kayaking on the river.
