Description

A room (errr... tent) with a view! The only way to reach the Piety Island Campground is by boat. Located in the middle of the northern end of the Detroit Lake, every campsite on the island has gorgeous views of the water. To work up an appetite during the day, take the short but challenging hike to the top of Piety Knob. The 22 campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is NO drinking water available at this campground, so bring plenty of bottled water, a filter, or fill up at other nearby campgrounds including South Shore and Cove Creek. Visit the official site for seasonal alerts and closures.
