This was a delightful farm to camp on. We were here in mid-November so it was certainly damp and chilly, but the area is well enough protected from high winds. We could hear them, but the tent was barely shaking. The camp site is right next to a river, and it was pretty high while we were there, but it wasn’t too loud at all. The site has plenty of flat spaces for a tent in and amongst the trees. There is a nice fire pit and the outhouse is nearby. There is also a nice area where you can set up a campfire with benches. There are also picnic tables which work well to set up a stove.

The bathroom is your standard, but with the exception of having on demand hot water! That was a treat. It’s set up so you can even take a shower though we just used it to wash our faces. Quite nice to have around when you wake up in below freezing weather. Pro-tip: the bathroom is hooked up with a light on the wall. This is nice so you aren’t relying on your headlamp for light and accidentally peering down into the toilet pit!

The best part was waking up in the morning to the Longhorns grazing right next to your camp site. They’re behind a fence, but are super curious. The calves were hilarious - so nice to see them running around playing with one another. There were plenty of owls to hear throughout the night, which was nice. The cattle across the river were pretty loud one night, but the second night we didn’t hear a peep out of them.

The hosts, Carmen and Bob, are great! We got in after dark but Carmen was there waiting for us to show us around in the dark and chilly air. We experienced a hiccup in our trip and ended up staying an extra night than planned. They were very accommodating and communicative. Bob even caught some fresh salmon from the river and they offered us a fillet that was prepped, seasoned, and oiled in a foil packet for us. We were able to just toss it into the campfire and cooked it right up one of the nights. That was a treat!

Great place to stay! We were happy to stay here and extra night than planned. Highly recommend.

Really great property. Great get away from the city, Tillamook is an interesting area offering both valley and coast environments and lots of great exploring. Host was very kind and available if we needed anything. The river flowing right past you is a real treat!

These folks are truly amazing & accommodating people, who are willing to help if need be, but will also respect your privacy. There’s truly something special about a private campsite with the peace of not having neighbor campers. Beautiful property, with one tent site and one awesome cabin. To experience the presence of their Texas Longhorns was also very neat & unique. This will likely be the only place my family camps going forward!
