Welcome to Molalla Ripple!
Enjoy the sound of the Molalla River rolling over the rocks. Wake up to birds chirping and tall trees swaying in the breeze. The campsites are sixty feet apart for privacy and one path leads to the river with two private beach areas to relax. The river flow does change after heavy rains so it may not be suitable to swim in the early spring, but fishing is great! The river flows at its lowest level in July and August which helps our learning swimmers enjoy the water. Walk out to the swimming hole from the river path to cool down on a hot summer day.
We work with our local Oregon Department of Forestry to ensure that we comply with all campfire regulations along the river. When needed they may or may not issue permits to allow burning. Please respect the neighbors to the north by staying on the same side of the sign reading "END OF HIP CAMP."
On our 25-acre farm known as JSM Ranch you'll see black angus beef cattle grazing on grass pastures along with free range goats, sheep, ducks and chickens. Our beef cattle are 100% grass fed with no hormones, antibiotics or grain finish added. We practice rotational grazing on our farm. Sometimes the cattle will not be in the fields next to the camp sites. But your welcome to walk our fields to find them. Your only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. You won't be disappointed for a great breakfast at Tammy D's (Mulino, OR), sandwiches at Humble Pig or pizza at Bear Creek Pizza & Pub. Please review the rules to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment as we have electric fences and moving water. Check out our Group site River Rock for bigger families. Also look at River's Edge. NEW MEMBERS Hip Camp will send out an email with all our info once you book your stay. We change our rates with the seasons. We are making changes to make your stay easier. Molalla Ripple is taking over River Edge sites. River Edge is now closed, and sites transferred to Molalla Ripple. We will add the new site number with the old to help.

Second time here. It's a great spot if you're looking for some peace by a river. And if you happen to be freezing and it's raining—you can get in on that pellet heater and it makes the experience 100% better.
Beautiful area and farm
I've camped at this site before. The host is always kind and very helpful. He goes above and beyond to make sure your stay goes well. The animals are great. Kevin Bacon the pig is awesome! The sites are pretty and have lots of shade and tree cover. And the river is beautiful. Give this place a shot!
Friendly host, clean bathrooms, and a spacious campsite right next to the water. A perfect little one-night getaway from Portland! There were other campers and a bit of street noise at times but the location is beautiful and everyone was kind and respectful. Will be bookmarking this one.
our spot was pretty private, within walking distance to bathrooms and potable water. the creek is very close so a walk next to the water was great! audience t space for 5 campers and 4 pups!
What a safe, fun space for the weekend. James and this place is great. Helpful and very mindful of the bathrooms. Never seen a port a potty so clean and smells like vanilla and cinnamon. Great place. Will be back. Thanks!
The site was right on the river. We floated on the lazy river. Had a great time there.. Orange #4 was perfect layout. Loved the small tree by tent pad to lean on when putting shoes on and off. The farm was nice to wonder and see Kevin Bacon.
