Beautiful, private campsite.
We needed a place to spend the night on our road trip from San Francisco to Seattle. So HAPPY we decided to stay here. The site is very easily accessible, on 1/2 mile off of I-5 yet worlds away from the crowds of the public campsites. No noise or signs of freeway or other people. Site is as pictured and is so peaceful. Will definitely return for a longer stay.
This was a wonderful spot to stay on my drive from Portland to the Bay Area. As a young woman traveling alone I felt very safe. I did not meet Marcus, but he was readily available for any questions I had over text. The campsite was easy to get to and everything was self explanatory. I arrived after dark and it was already chilly, so I was super grateful for the ease of setting up the propane fire pit. Was very quiet and fell asleep to the pleasant sounds of the brook nearby. In the morning I saw how beautiful the surrounding trees were and was able to stretch my legs on a little walk on the walking path over the covered bridge (map provided at the campsite). Overall a lovely experience— if you ever need a pit stop in the area off I-5 would highly recommend!
I booked as I was driving through to Southern California and it was a perfect pitstop! After I figured out to look for the mailbox with the address, it was easy to get to. The site was set up so nicely, a huge spot for a tent, right by the water (great white noise!) and it had a great area with a picnic table for eating. Would love to come back after the compostable toilet and shower is built, that is going to be such a great addition to the site. Would definitely book for a weekend and use as a base camp for adventures. Thanks Marcus!
Beautiful space and very friendly host. I booked an affordable place last minute not expecting much, but was met with a perfectly level gravel space, large picnic bench, and even a stone staircase leading down to the river accompanied by a park bench. I wish I would have arrived earlier to enjoy more of the daylight, though the crickets and stream made for perfect white noise at night. Apparently they’re planning on constructing a bathroom facility and heated shower.. I’ll be back for that
