Description

Berries and big game are the name of the game at Dixie Campground. During the summer, Dixie Campground is homebase to hikers who enjoy several local trails and bushels of wild berries. And when temps drop, Rocky Mountain Elk and mule deer entice the hunters out. Dixie’s ten first-come, first-served sites are just off the Highway 26, making it an easy pit stop, but no need to throw in the ear plugs—a local creek muffles the sound of passing cars. Before you head out, check the website for closures.
