Due to covid, and this county being a hotspot, campers must be self sufficient. contact me for details. also,  a blizzard took down several trees. (i need to upload more current photos!)

The ground was fairly even, for tent camping, and privacy was great. Way in the back the creek ran; at night there were owls hooting and we could tell other animals were around, mostly by their sounds (birds, wild turkeys, grass swishing). Biffy was small but clean. We needed to be near Roseburg but wanted to camp: great solution!

The camp site was very clean and comfortable. Campfires are not available at certain season for regulation of state, so be aware of that.
The owner was very kind and gave me information about the neighbor sightseeing spot, which made my stay very enjoyable.

A really good option right off I-5. Rahmana is a kind host, with a lovely dog. While it is in a somewhat secluded neighborhood (so you do hear other humans), the backyard is full of trees and a creek runs behind the house. At night do you have a nice view of the moon and stars. It felt safe, and was everything I needed it to be to accommodate car camping.

My car camping set up in Rahmana’s backyard.

Rahmana property is beautiful with lots of sprawling blackberry bushes and cherry trees. There’s a couple nice spots to choose from and nice privacy from the house and neighbors. Rahmana was very friendly and even sent me a whole bunch of recommendations for places to jump in some rivers on my way up. She have me a little tour of the property and brought me coffee in the morning! It was the perfect place to stop for a night on my way north. Justin few minutes off the 5, safe, and private.

Rahmana hosted us very last minute and was super accommodating. Her property feels cozy and safe, yet also like a nature getaway. Hearing the babbling brook below, ribbiting frogs, and occasional horse whinny from our campsite/ fire pit provided a lovely nighttime aura. Her extra stick / kindling pile was a welcome addition to keep our fire glowing and her morning coffee was a special treat. I recommend Deer Creek House for sure!

We spent a lovely and restful night among the daisies, and woke up ready for the day ahead! This was the perfect place for a stop over, or for a short respite. The host was lovely, and had many helpful suggestions for places to eat, which was very welcome becaise we had been eating freeze dried food for a few days.
