We had an amazing stay at Turtle Lake! Super fun cabin and great swimming spots. I recommend this rental and would return.
My husband, myself, our large breed dog and our 1 1/2 year old spent 2 nights at Sabrina's cabin/bunkie. It was easy to find and came stocked with many of your basic needs. Interior was comfortable, cute, and had a lot of special surprises like several electrical outlets (+built in USB outlets) great games and a telescope. A few steps outside behind the cabin you'll find a nice wash station set up (cold, potable water)
We were very comfortable (bed and temperature wise). There was a space heater which was great because it got a lot chillier than expected at night for mid July.
Sabrina was very quick to respond to anything we needed. At one point we blew a fuse from running the kettle and space heater and she responded immediately with directions to the fuse box.
If you like dogs, you'll love Lucie. She is a dog that lives nearby and she spent a lot of time at the site with us. She would pop in 4-5 times a day for pets. Careful though, she'll steal your food if it's within her reach and you're not paying attention. We may have lost a burger or two - she's quick but SO sweet.
Overall we had a great time and would recommenced!
Awesome time good experience for outdoors. Went with 5 adults including a 72 year old mother and we made it work.
Sabrina‘s Cabin in the Woods was absolutely lovely! Exactly like it sounds. A beautiful quiet secluded spot surrounded by trees. Unfortunately it did rain for a majority of our trip but Sabrina was so helpful and kept checking in to make sure we were doing alright and had everything we needed. During our stay we took a few trips out to Turtle Lake (with lots success of catching and releasing - high Bass population) took a drive out to Rosseau General (which was so quant and had everything and anything you need). Must also drive out to Bent River gas station, the drive is gorgeous. At the back of the store the owner has all kinds of pictures with celebrities. The diner right next door a had great food selection if you choose to eat out -very clean! We also found a great hiking trail. H. N. Crossley Nature Reserve. The short path leads you to a look out over a swap but to the left there’s an off path trail marked in orange through the woods. Highly recommend! I would definitely plan a return trip!! :)
Lovely little cabin! Clean and fairly new, easy to find, great shelter and beautiful fire pit and place to lounge. Though there is no indoor plumbing or cooking, none of that is problematic (unless maybe you need to cook in bad weather, which you ought to be prepared for, like camping!). the space inside is very small - for the 2 of us it was lovely though.
We enjoyed the location very much. Not on water, but lakes are short drives away. For swimming you may need to go further afield, depending on your taste. We had great hikes in the Humphrey nature trails and the Seguin Park-to-Park trail (which is enormous) especially near Oastler Prov Park (which had amazing swimming a beach). Other reviewers talk about the town of Rosseau and it really is quite lovely, even without the market. The whole area was quaint in the nicest way, and we'd love to come back. My only suggestion is just to make sure you pack like you're camping, and then you won't be without anything essential, as this place is minimalist!
Super cute little cabin. Outside was great, the fire pit and hammocks were amazing! Lots of room outside for people. Town is super close by for when you need supplies, the general store is amazing, and there's a little food truck that has really good poutines. Inside was cozy, cute, and had cards/games if you're looking for something to do. Close to the water as well if you want to go canoeing! Sabrina responded very quickly and was very helpful. 10/10 would recommend!!
This tiny house is a perfect getaway for the family. We have 2 kids (4 and 8) and they were filled with exploration and exercise especially in the ninja obstacle course! My wife had I relaxed and even got some work done. The house itself has a great aesthetic and can tell it is a labour of love. Lots to visit in the surrounding area in Rosseau as well as local swimming spots! Highly recommend.
Our stay was absolutely amazing! Sabrina was more than helpful when asking questions about the area and always responded quickly. The area was very aesthetic with the all the lights, hammocks, and the surrounding nature. The cabin was very comfy and homey! We visited lots of the nearby lakes and went into the city of Rosseau to have a nice dinner at Crossroads. It was an overall 12/10 experience to stay here and would love to go back.
