If you choose to camp during the summer you will enjoy wild black caps and mosquitos! From the camp and through the trees, you can see farmers fields, and wind turbines. Secluded, but surrounded by agricultural culture. There is sometimes tractors, and sometimes gunshots, depending on the season. (planting, harvesting, or hunting) We enjoy this camp most from Fall to Spring.
There is a place to park in the driveway, where the environment of our mini farm is prominent. There is a earthship under construction to explore.
The "hike" down the road, I like to take is awesome because you only walk past one house, and it's a few kilometers!! I recommend spending some time on a bike. It's great country to quietly cycle along.
The property hosts a mini farm, complete with free range chickens and heritage pigs. The wildlife is noisy. We have all kinds of amphibian life, bird life and coyotes, making our place one full of natural sounds.
We live off the-grid in a modified office trailer while building our earthship home. Conversations about alternative housing, and off grid living can to be had with the hosts during your stay.
This is a great location for birders, hikers, cyclists, wine 'tasters' and beach lovers. There are many local attractions to cater to any of these interests. You should google it.
Belly Dance Gardens a business, too. We run an unique membership garden. We also sell pastured farm fresh eggs (that you might have the opportunity to collect yourself!)
There is The Hounds of Erie Winery just a short walk down the road.
There are a lot of great hiking/birding trails around us, too. Google Norfolk Trails.
Just a few minutes drive away, there is the majestic Sand Hills.
Long Point is only 15 minutes away. There is so much to see there.
If you want to see migratory birds up close, you should look up the bird banding station in Long Point

My sister and I camp for one night. The host was very welcoming. We bought fresh vegetables and eggs from their farm. It was unique experience for us
It was a very secluded site. Had a great area for fires and a good spot to set up a tent. Great touches by the hosts. We had a very relaxing time. I would recommend it.
Good privacy nice shade in the daytime lots of wildlife footprints host are great down to earth folks will be back
We had a lovely time at the bush camp on Petrina's beautiful property. If you like to be alone under the stars, have stimulating conversations, or have interest in anything ecological, this is a great place to stay! Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality of our hosts. We'll be visiting again!
Petrina and Roger were wonderful hosts. We learned so much about their operation and how they manage their land in an eco-friendly lifestyle. We will definitely be visiting again!
We have found our new favorite spot! Its worth the 10 minute walk into the forest, to find a perfect setup that feels like our own piece of land out there. Thank you for your kindness towards my wife & I God Bless

Felt like it was far away from everyone else. A nice get away from city life. We enjoyed having a fire every night and listening to the wildlife around us. We both loved the experience! Petrina was very nice whenever we interacted with her.
This spot was perfect for a little night away from the city. The bush camp was a bit buggy, but absolutely stunning once we had a fire going. The sun hit the woods perfectly in the evening and again in the morning. Petrina was an amazing host, showing us her stunning property, including some fun animals and a gorgeous garden! Would definitely head back here anytime!
Petrina was so welcoming from the moment I arrived on her high-vining property. She has so much going on, it's a true feat to witness how she runs her property full of vegetable and flower gardens, chickens, pigs, bees, and more! There is ample space to pitch a tent nearby to the home or back in the bush-camp. While buggy in the middle of July, once the fire was up and smoking, that almost immediately cleared the wooded area. I'd highly recommend coming here for more than just a getaway into the bush, but a great social experience with Petrina if you're looking for that too!!
