Quiet, dark and peaceful campsite!
Extremely friendly. We arrived later in the night, so I really appreciate the warm welcome. Camp is very quiet and dark. They offer a light at the camp site which is really nice at night. The stars are amazing. We only stayed to sleep before leaving early but it seemed like there were a lot of cool paths you can explore. The gift shop was awesome. Bathroom and shower were pretty well kept. My only complaint would be that we were surrounded by giant spiders everywhere we went, bathroom and shower included. They’re harmless if left alone, but I am afraid of spiders so it was a little scary to be in spider territory. Not the camps fault, if you’re afraid of spiders maybe don’t go camping lol
Amanda is awesome! We arrived around 9:30pm and the park had already closed and it was dark. Amanda met us at the gift shop and led us to our spot. The park is beautiful and we wished we had more time to explore. Gorgeous views and lots of butterflies. The Rune was fun to see and led to a nice education for the kiddos.
Just a heads up, the hill leading into the park is incredibly steep!! If you are pulling a camper as we were, it was a bit nerve racking. Coming down was much easier.
Enjoyed the setting and the history
Loved the place. Great for tenters and small rvs.
They do all they can to accommodate you including providing clean bathrooms and showers centrally located in the camp site.
Perfect stopping point for us on our camping trip! Park is beautiful and Amanda is a great host. Very hospitable and wanting to make sure all guests have a good time. Will definitely stay again!
Tent sites gorgeous w/access to water and electric. Shower house and restrooms clean. 1 small rv spot (tight for us at 24 1/2 feet with slideout) but has a nice pavilion as part of spot. Pavilion has security lights outside, ceiling lights on the ceiling, and the 30 amp electric for the rv. All three have their own breaker, so use the option you need. Beautiful park, 5 very well marked hiking trails (see review on Alltrails). Went in the spring so waterfalls and streams throughout hiking area. Amanda and staff are the best park hosts we’ve ever had. We loved this park and will be back!!
Great little getaway!
Host is very professional and did everything to insure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The Runestone Park is breathtakingly beautiful. The Runestone itself is a must see. Highly recommend!
