Wonderful place, wonderful hosts!
We couldn't be happier to have chosen Pleasant Valley Farm for our overnight visit! James was warm & welcoming from the moment we arrived, and offered us our choice of 2 sites on the Farm. We selected Site #6 at the NW corner of their lake, and had no problem setting up with our 21' camper van at that site. We had also prepaid for a bag of firewood, and it was well-seasoned split hardwood that burned beautifully in the provided fire ring at our campsite - thanks for that!
James encouraged us to hike the trails on the Farm, which were a delightful mix of well-tended fields and forest, and he was kind enough to allow our dog to roam with us off-leash as well. He also invited us to fish, swim or enjoy paddling the lake - though we didn't take him on this offer, we will undoubtedly return to do so! The barn is a treasure and it was welcome to have flush toilets available inside.
Pleasant Valley Farm is a gem, and we couldn't be more grateful for the kindness of the hosts in sharing their lovely corner of Ohio beauty!
A beautiful and relaxing place
Had a great time staying at Pleasant Valley Farm. Jim was great and very helpful. We stayed at site #6. My favorite I think after looking at all the other ones. We had my small pop up camper. There was plenty of room for the camper, a pop up canopy, the truck, and fire ring with plenty of room left over. Very spacious spot. It is right on the lake. There are trees and some open area across from the site and down on the other end is the farmhouse. Loved it and would definitely stay again if I happen to be in the area again.
Kathy and Jim have a beautiful property with plenty to do. We camped for two nights and had a great time fishing on the row boat, building fires, checking out the big red barn (which they use as a wedding venue), star gazing, relaxing and making plenty of memories. They were incredible hosts from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this location to any friends and family looking to get away.
Lake is clean and refreshing
This our new #1. Hosts Jim and Kathy were great. The lake is clean and spectacular. They have a small beach area close to the house with sand and steps leading into the water. Caught a few fish and was in the lake everyday. The barn is very unique and is where the bathrooms are located. We will definitely return.
