Beautiful camp in amish country
We had a great weekend at Celesta's Grove. The views in all directions were awesome. We did follow the advice of other Hicampers and booked both sites. This gave us a ton of room and a lot of privacy. Javan was a great host, he delivered our firewood right away and also gave us a dozen fresh eggs.
We will definitely be returning.
Rent both sites and it'll be perfec
View is great and nice spot but with two sites right next to each other it's no benefit of hipcampers. Need to take care of the poison ivy taking over trees.
Port a John was pristine clean!
It may be ideal for the overnighter passing through but if your looking for a full camping experience this is not it. The low light pollution was a welcomed change. However, I was taken aback by the blue-gteen algae pond right at the site which restricted my and my dog's movements and tent pitching for health reasons. It's a very small spot than what I am accustomed to with Hipcamp.
I stayed at Javan’s with my 4 children for a couple of days. He was very hospitable, made sure we were accommodated and even brought us a dozen farm fresh eggs. The spot was very secluded with the occasional horse and buggy which my Children totally got a kick out of. The restroom was very clean which was one of my biggest concerns. I’d love to return.
Beautiful campsite in amish country
We loved our stay at Celesta’s Grove. We loved the privacy and all the shade. It was super close to everything we wanted to visit in Amish Country. The toilet was very clean and the kids loved the swing and herd of nearby horses. Highly recommend!
This is why you wanna hipcamp!
This is why you wanna try hipcamp! Not too expensive but a different experience than your average campground stop. Far off the road with a view of a pond and some nice shade. Amish country for sure and you have buggies and bikes going by. Head in to town in the evening around 6 for dinner or an after dinner ice cream and you'll enjoy eating with the locals at the outside ice cream and sandwich stand. Amish, Mennonite, the rest of us, all parked with our vans, buggies, wagons, bikes... Back at the site our little girls loved climbing the trees and swinging on the wooden swing. They also loved being surrounded by fire flies. As everyone said, the porta potty was super clean. There are 2 sites and they are both under the trees right next to each other. It would have been a bummer if anyone else was there. Javan had a nice stack of wood for us there. We had our 20 foot transit van and sometimes worry about getting stuck in muddy farms. This worked well. Great stay. I highly recommend!
