We honestly planned to go there for the whole weekend, but ended up leaving immediately after the first night. Beautiful property indeed! Would be great for just one campsite; but instead there are four campsites jammed into the small area. The next campsites were a mere 30 feet away. You could hear every single word the other campers said throughout the night, as there was no one there to manage the quiet time hours. 3 AM and it sounded like someone was right outside your tent talking at full volume.
Pleasant off-the-highway camp
Very nice listing. Beautiful camp sites on a farm and inside of a patch of trees. There is a little revene too. Farm on the road, which we walked during sunset as many recommended. We were in site 2, which is right across from another site - so if you want seclusion perhaps ask the owners if the adjacent lot is also occupied. We were lucky that it was empty. There were people at site 1, and we couldn't hear them at all. Worth mentioning (and perhaps its obvious from the map) but this site is right off the highway. It is not a heavily traversered highway, but just keep in mind as there are lights and sounds throughout the night. We did not use the port-o-potty, so we have no comments.
We would recommend this place. Very clean, beauitful, and great hosts.
Our 2nd stay and we will be back again! It’s so pretty and quiet there! Our site was super clean, they even had the leaves raked from our pull through site so we could see it. Highly recommend this HipCamp.
Lovely evening in a forest.
This was one of my favorite camping experiences. Easy to access, and felt like I just plopped into a forest to set up a tent, in the best way. There was only one other couple camping when I was there and they were quiet. I was in spot #2. There was a beautiful sunset view and the site was clean and pleasant. It was fairly small, which worked great for me, but if you had a family of 6 it might be tight. I will mention that the porta potty door didn't fully close, so it couldn't lock, and the porta potty itself was pretty full. That didn't detract from the wonderful atmosphere. I absolutely look forward to returning and camping here again. I'd recommend the drive on 247, so beautiful, and I'd recommend Edge of Appalachia nature preserve--great spots.
Highly recommend this hipcamp!
For our first HipCamp experience, I have to say that this place was really nice! It’s tucked away in a just big enough wooded area with some really nice trees and a great open space for exploring. Right off of 32 but just far enough away from the highway. Sites are nicely done, level, super clean, gravel, shade, good fire pits, and spaced just enough apart from each other. Clean port o potty and water spigot on site (we didn’t use it though). We felt we were away from it all when we stayed, even though it’s about 40 min away from our home. We can’t wait to return for a getaway in our cargo camper. Hosts were super nice and quick to respond to my texts even though it was about 9pm! We recommend staying here and we will be back soon. Thank you hosts! It was a pleasure meeting you both!
