We really enjoyed the secluded site at Loon Campsite. It was a great spot for our teardrop camper and definitely for tent campers and multiple family outings. Wish we had more time to adventure around Geneva Hills. Plenty to do and look forward to getting back very soon.
Great for large group, long weekend
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Geneva Hills. The campsite was secluded, the amenities were clean and abundant, and the grounds were a lot of fun to explore, but the best part about this campsite was the hosts. We felt so welcomed and cared for on multiple occasions because the hosts went above and beyond their duties while still respecting our space and privacy.
What most people will care to read about though, is the campsite itself... We had a sizeable grass area just beyond the welcome center where we could park our cars and we even had room to set up 5 tents on the level ground. Then there was a path that opened up into a big clearing where we had another 5 tents and more than enough room to hang out without keeping those 5 people awake all night. There was a single picnic table and a fire pit that our group spent a lot of time around at night. During the day, we had the options to play laser tag, go swimming in the pool, use the paddle boat at the lake, or just explore the expansive property.
My group stayed 4 days and 3 nights and didn't run out of fun things to do. We will 100% be back for another great weekend in the future!
Quiet clean woods oasis
The perfect blend of peaceful and amenities. Lots of easy to find fire wood of all sizes, a grate for easy cooking, nice picnic table and tucked back into the woods where it's hard to see anyone else including the nearby office. The toilet and shower were great, clean, and just a short walk with a water tap about halfway to the office. Pavilions with lights and tables were great for playing games and hanging out after dark. Even when our water source was taken over by a camper, the office quickly added a splitter and took care of us. Great service, close to plenty of great hiking, and away from the crowds. It will be exciting to see the rest of this amazing property made better and better.
